Right now Im on the Shadow Broker mission and just had a chat with Liara and she knew about the romance Shepard had with Miranda. My Shepard had a romance with Liara in ME1. The thing is that I want Shepard to romance Liara instead.

Should I do the suicide mission again and say no to Miranda or try to romance Liara after the Shadow Broker mission? Is it possbile to do that?

I know that the choice I make will do an important impact in ME3, so if I dont romance Miranda she might join cerbus again!? And if I dont romance Liara?! Or can you romance them both in ME2 without bad consiqunes in ME3?

I think you should just go with whoever you liked best as a love interest. You can't predict the directions their characters will go. So if you wanna stick with Liara, do that. If you wanna move on to Miranda do that. OR you can have multiple playthroughs. :)

The question is if I end to romance and start to romance Liara will it get the same result for ME3 as if I say no to Miranda and only romance Liara?

Considering Liara is a party member in Mass Effect 3 and there is no clarification whatsoever about Miranda in Mass Effect 3 from what I've gathered, I'd assume romancing Liara would have the biggest impact in Mass Effect 3. But that's all it is. Assumption.

So if you really had to choose, pick Liara if you're really looking for the (most likely) bigger impact.
But really, romance whoever you like best. I'm betting the consequences won't be all that impactful. It's a game with choices, I'd imagine that in these games, using your intuition or preference is more fun than simply asking someone else's opinion?

If this doesn't answer your question you'll have to be more specific, you're being a bit vague IMO.

Be careful what you ask for...
You just might get it.
"Liara is the best choice."
"Miranda is the best choice."
"(Insert favorite character not relevant to the topic at hand) is the best choice."
I say choose who you like best.
But by all means, only pay attention to line 3.

Yeah, you don't want this to turn into the "Tali For Cannon Romance" thread which I'm sure is moments away from getting locked.

If you turn Miranda down during the Omega 4 Relay scene.. you're still romantically involved in fact she is quite impressed by you wanting to wait till after the mission. I actually prefer it to the dry humping in the engine room.

So you're going to have to go dump her before you go into the Relay.. or you will get the dialogue from Liara that you cheated..

Miranda quits Cerberus if you keep the base and she is with you on the final boss romanced or not..

Exactly multiple playthroughs are a wonderful thing. In fact my two runs that I have set up have essentially the same decisions and the same class BUT I have one where I cheated on Liara. I mean cheated, did LotSB, rekindled relationship, had our moment in my cabin, then went down to engineering for some Miri time. In my other I remained completly loyal to Liara and had our moment right before I jumped the Omega 4 relay. It really meant something to me as my Shep looked upon that picture of her on his deak and smiled on his way to certain doom. You'd be surprised even in relatively similar playthroughs who you get attracted to. In my latest playthrough (also very similar in choice and same class) I found myself falling for Jack. Its all about you and thats what makes BW games so unique.

It depends on my active Shep ( Femshep/Himshep ) and if he is in the mood for a blueberry muffin or a honey bun.

I don't know why anyone would choose Miranda over Liara other than "DAT ASS" but go with whoever you like. I doubt your LI will make a HUGE impact on ME3's main storyline as you seem to be worried about.

well i romanced them both, I romanced liara first (after the shadow broker mission) then after I slept with Liara (or whatever they did in Sheps room) then romanced Miranda, I don't think it will have any impact on ME3, this allows you to continue your relationship with liara (for ME3 , just incase) but still have a romance on the Normandy, the romance with Liara has no impact on any of the LI's on the Normandy (so far that I've noticed), unless you start a LI on the Normandy before you do the SB mission and meet Liara, so basically you can have your cake and eat it too !!  But the LI with Liara in ME2 only works if she was your LI in ME1.

As for my opinion on the romances..

Liara's is much better, but it oughta be considering all the time put into it.. I like her character a lot and her romance IMO is the best in the game. Her character is very good as well.

Miranda's romance is below average.. although I usually don't like the ice queen romances(Morrigan is an exception)
.. but her character is all over the place and it is a black eye for the romance.. For what it is worth I find her character to be the most interesting/have the highest potential in Mass Effect.

Right now my canonA is Miranda and canonB is Liara..

You know, I'm not that impressed with "dat ass" but still rate Miranda over Liara.
For "what will happen in ME3" - multiple playthroughs. If you don't want to face negative consequences of telling Miranda everything is over, just keep the saves with major decisions as the latest so you can easily go back and replay:devil:

My decision is clear, Liara is the better choice for me. It's a long story, but basically when I played ME 2 for the first time I thought that Miranda was the hottest and most loyal person to Shepard. As I grew to understand her, she had a truly human personality deep inside her. She had feelings and she wanted to be better than a "perfect human genetic with biotics". That grew to make me want to be faithful to her. On my second play through however, I wanted to try Tali because I wanted to experiment on how a romance would be with her. I grew to love Tali even more because she had a deep passion for Shepard. She was cute, admirable, and pitiful at times, but that only made me want to sympathize more and thus urged me to stick with Tali than be with Miranda. That lasted for a while until LoTSB came out. I heard that you can continue a relationship with Liara through the DLC so I decided to check out Shepard and Liara's romance in ME 1. To me, Liara was just an introverted person who spent an extreme ample time to herself and not have any social experience with others. She's what you can say as being purely innocent. That was something of a preference to me. Innocent, friendly, and intelligent people are attractive in my eyes and I had some hopes that Liara could be the right person for my Shepard. I dug deeper and I found out that she like Tali grew to love Shepard and she has deep passion for him. When I played LoTSB, I knew that she had been trying so hard over the past 2 years to avenge Feron and to help Shepard out because she lost him after the first Normandy was destroyed. I had more sympathy for Liara than I did for Tali because Liara's pain has been ongoing and she finally has the chance to be free. Liara then was still very friendly, innocent, and intelligent plus passionate about Shepard. Her character overall fit my desires of a romantic option. Her health, beauty, intelligence, passion, loyalty, friendliness, innocence, happiness, and clarity are all traits that are good for my Paragon Male Shepard. That's why I choose Liara over Miranda. She wins in a landslide. Miranda only has some innocence even though she is intelligent, friendly and trustworthy to some extent, and although she has a sexy body. Male Shepard finds that Liara has a better personality/mentality and the looks for bonus.

I always choose Liara because of how much she honest to god shows her feelings for Shepard. Rather than simply saying "I love you." We see how much she has changed in spite of the death of Shepard and the everything she has done since then. In Mass Effect, she was innocent and unknowing of the universe. Shepard and Liara just kind of fall into eachother and eventually it evolves into a relationship. I'll admit, Shepard's lines in this we're a bit lackluster (I'm looking at you "Just tell me what to do."), but overall, I found it to be the most heartfelt romance of them all ("These things never make sense, we just get swept up in the storm."). Flash to the starting events of Mass Effect 2, Shepard dies, and Liara herself feels guilty because she could have been the one to get Joker, she could've died in his place. Then the events of Mass Effect: Redemption occur, she recovers Shepard's body and goes through her whole Shadow Broker ordeal. While she may use this as her cover, we are shown that the true source of this newfound coldness is because of Shepard's death. Even before she learns of the Broker's involvement, she is not the same Liara. It is nothing but her passion for Shepard that drives her to such emotional extremes. When you finally meet her again in Mass Effect 2, she can hardly accept the fact that you're still alive (The cake is a lie). She is still tied down to the heartbreak she has went through to bring you back, and believes its eradication will allow her to move on in life. In this, she nearly loses herself, becoming obsessed in taking revenge on the Shadow Broker and feeling guilty once more for the loss of Feron, just as she did for Shepard. And perhaps she was right, as it is not until Lair of the Shadow Broker that she finally comes to grips with her past, and realizes that Shepard isn't going anywhere. This character progression is what makes the romance so beautiful, and is one of my favorite parts of the entire trilogy. Sorry bout that big speil on Liara, but it needed to be done. I also want to take this time to note-ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL!

HARBINGER FOR LOVE INTEREST IN MASS EFFECT 3.

Bioware has said repeatedly that if you cheated on your ME1 LI there will be consequences. I admit a small part of me wants to see a Liara/Miranda catfight but I'm happy with my playthroughs where I stay faithful. Honestly, this is the thing that most concerns me.

Will I be flagged as "faithful" if I reromance Liara?
If I don't romance Liara, do I NOT have the option to take her back in ME3?

Drives me nuts.
