 I'm not all that sure if I meet the system requirements to play so I think that might be why it crashes as soon as I press play.

In the configure utility it says I have:
Processor: Intel® Celeron® CPU 900 @ 2.20GHz
Clock speed: 2188 MHz
Physical Memory: 1.87 GB
Display adapter: Mobile Intel® 4 Series Exp
VRAM: 829 MB
Driver Version: is blank
Sound Adapter: Speakers (Conexant CX20671 SmartAudio HD)
Driver Version: 4.119.0.0

Software
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
DirectX Version: DirectX 10.0 (Mar2009) or later

and this is the error I get when asking for details on the error.General protection fault!
History: GImage::GImage() Address = 0x9d4b69   (filename not found) [in C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Mass Effect 2\\Binaries\\MassEffect2.exe]Address = 0x401291   (filename not found) [in C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Mass Effect 2\\Binaries\\MassEffect2.exe]GImage::GImage() Address = 0x4b453a   (filename not found) [in C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Mass Effect 2\\Binaries\\MassEffect2.exe]

I also have a disc copy I bought brand new from gamestop an hour ago.

All Intel's display adapters are below requirements they are not really made for gaming. Also the Celeron processor is below requirements by far it's too old and too slow to play a game like ME2. Sounds like you need to go computer shopping if you want to play ME2 on PC.
