Tonight I was grinding the Orsino fight with my all-ranged party, lasting longer each time but not quite making it yet. Outside the barrier was Isabela and Aveline looking on.

Then, in my last attempt, Aveline and Isabela ended up on my side of the barrier, immortal, helping out tremendously! Of course Aveline tanked the monster 100% of the time with Isabela doing high damage and the rest of us could pretty much concentrate on the adds.

Is this supposed to happen? It felt rather cheesy!

They are supposed to help you out. They get stuck behind the barrier sometimes if they are near the door when you intiate/skip the cutscene.

Your companions continue to use the tactics you've set up for them when they aren't in the party, too. It made me glad I set them up for everyone (and geared everyone) even though I only played through with the same set. I had a feeling there would be something like that at the end.

Anyway I can't really advise on how to beat him without a tank. I found it pretty easy with Aveline beating on him while the rest of us spanked the skellies.

I must have tried this fight six times with them getting stuck on the wrong side of the barrier. With them helping, how can you really lose, since they can’t even be killed ...
