I am a huge fan of the Mass Effect series. I have beat both games multiple times and played through the add on as well. The storyline of the game is outstanding and I woundn't change to much of anything. Things that should be changed are in the physical layout of the game, like the lack of exploration space in certain places. Example are Citadel, Omega, and Illium are all metropolis type areas but all three feel as small as a soup can when it comes to exploration of area. The Citadel on ME 1 was at least 75% bigger in exploration space than ME 2. WHY?? I dont know how many people take the time to read the discriptions of the planets and places before you land but I for one take the time to read. All three areas were a disapointment when it came to things to see and do. Next I wanted to elaborate more on the side quests of the game. Not the team member side quests but the random anomaly side quests. Most of them were just so pointless to me and I would have pass them all up if not for the creds and occational upgrade. I would have passed up every one of those quests for 1 good quest. Like fighting the Batarian slavers I read so much about throughout the game but for some reason never see. Everytime i looked up I was fighting the Blue Suns. Frankly when it comes to extra stuff to do storywise in the game the sky is the limit, not saying you have to add it in to the main game but as for add ons. I myself had five ideas for add on story quests that could be just as good as "Lair of the Shadowbroker". And Project Firewalker was a huge waste of time and money. More Importantly the mechanics of the game could use a huge improvement. Dont know about most people but when I have to constantly freeze the screen to issue orders to my team it gets annoying. How about a Tactics layout like Dragon Age huh? Somthing along the lines of Garrus: shield: <20%: stay behind cover instead of standing up and dying like an ass. Also just wanted to hit one last thing real quick "Derek Watts" mentioned the reason behind no females other than Asari, Quarian, Human because they dont know how to define a woman in the other races other than just throwing breats on them??? Seriously man? No Imagination what so ever. How about seeing as you said Garrus was modeled after a bird why dont you look into the difference of male and female animals and see if you can get some ideas its not hard. You can tell the difference between a Buck and Doe right? I bet its not breasts that help you tell the difference either. Imagination is what you guys are lacking in some departments. Find somone with an imagination and you guys will be golden.
Things that can be improved in ME3 "please comment"

Good Thread
Some changes I would make-
Stupid AI- I agree about the pausing to direct teammates, and why they don't take cover when they are being shot at is beyond me, they just stand there and die, even if you direct them behind something they don't squat down to take cover they just stand there and get shot. Change the system to the same as DA. Another issue with the stupid AI is that when I shooting at something my teammates always want to run right in front of me and then complain that I hit them, if a team is that bad the they can't see that one of the other team members is firing in a certain direction they deserve to die. Also, if I'm required to direct every movement of my team to ensure they don't die then I need to have an aerial view of the battlefield, I can't direct my team if I can't see the field. Oh and they don't always do what I tell them to do, sometimes right in the middle of a battle they take off and I can't find them, I lost count how many battles I've done alone because my team took off and left me when the bullets started flying.
Galaxy Map- get rid of the stupid flags, I bought every star chart I could find and at one time there were so many flags on the galaxy map I couldn't even read them, they were overlapping each other and I couldn't even see where to put my cursor to click on a particular galaxy. Maybe have it where you have to put your cursor over a galaxy to see if there is a quest there or maybe color code them, one color for galaxies with a quest and another for exploration galaxies.
Camera Angles-if I standing behind something and I can see the enemy why can't I shoot him, I have to move out away from cover to shoot, if I can see them I should be able to shoot them from the same location, this is mainly when using a sniper rifle. I see an enemy but when I look through my scope I can't see him because my view is blocked.
Enemies shooting through obstacles-I don't know how many times I can see the red outline of an enemy but I can't actually see them because they are behind something and they are hitting me with gunfire ( specifically when I'm getting Grunt and I'm fighting the main boss, shes behind a box and still hitting me with gunfire), how the heck does that happen? And even when I'm behind something I sometimes still get hit.
Don't get me wrong I really love the game but I think there needs to be some major work done on the mechanics and unfortuantely stupid AI's seem to be a common thing with Bioware games because I have the same type of issue with the DA series AI.
Oh and something I would add to ME3 is the ability to sell stuff as well as buy stuff, I always have tons of Palladium and Iridium but never enough platinum, it would be nice to be able to sell the extra resources or at least trade them for other resources.

Galaxy Map- I'm so glad you remembered to hit on this I had completely forgot about the over abundance of flags overlapping flags. Needs to be fixed most in ME 3 very annoying.
Camera Angles- I know exactly what your talking about although I have to say the 3/4 camera angle glitch is a blessing. You were trying to use a sniper rifle which moves you from the 3/4 over the shoulder view to a CoD First person scope view. That's why you cant shoot them with the sniper rifle. Any other gun can be easily shot from behind cover without ever exposing your body to the enemy.
A needed Option- Would love for the ability to vault over an object without having to take cover behind it first....
