Liara and some weak little lesbian girl playing army are not canon lovers. Ergo, Liara does not care about her and is merely fullfilling her contract to do scenes with both canon and female Shepard. It makes perfect sense.

Ali Hillis LOVES making out with Jennifer Hale.

There's another glitch later on in the cabin scene. femshep gets to turn Liara into melted blue butter. For manShep, she has a silly smile on her face.

The cabin scenes are identical. Both grab her butt and she does the black eyes thing.

Not relevent considering Shepard is canonically heterosexual. Kaidan can be as fabulous as he wants. He certainly has the hair for it. His ME3 picks reminds of that guy on America's Next Top Model. The one with the silver hair.

Obviously  not, since you know.......there's no canon. And homosexual relationships will be available in ME3.

1. There is a canon. Deal with it.

2.  Canon Shepard is heterosexual. Just like a Liara romance is canon. Sure, you can romance Ashley, Miranda, Tali or Jack. If Kasumi's comments are any indication, you and Kelly are an item if you had dinner with her. But all those no-Liara paths are non-canon. I prefer Tali romance, but I'm not so self absorbed that I'll ignore anything that contradicts my likes. You don't like the fact that Liara is the canon LI. Fine. But don't kid yourself into thinking that there is no canon.

And I wouldn't jump to conclusions and assume the ME team is going to pull an Anders with Kaidan. I think they have a little more repect for their gameworld than the DA team has for theirs.  Gay romances doesn't mean all previous heterosexual characters magically become gay. I think all homosexuals are newcomers and/or non-party NPCs.

Nope.  Watch Liara's reaction at the line, "I'm open to suggestions."

Just like the Qunari weren't retconned and DA2 wasn't rushed. Sorry, but Mr Priestley's word doesn't carry much weight 'round these parts. Besides, I AM THE LAW. As the only impartial voice, what I say goes. Deal with it.

If canon Shepard's canon LI is Liara (who's not a woman), then that means canon Shepard really isn't heterosexual.

Dude, you know, THERE IS NO CANON for this. I mean, BioWare provided options, so no, there is no canon. Unless you count the default things with ME2 if you don't use Genesis or import an ME1 save....
Also, there are kickass women marines, I know many. Hell, I am quite a kickass woman myself (I have stories, yeah, I do) so FemShep is realistic, she is. Women are just as good as men are, if not better at points. We can kick ass and look good doing it.

*ahem* As for the topic: I noticed this as well, but I write fanfiction, so I can make Liara smile a ton with FemShep no problem, she goes all melty for FemShep XD It's awesome....

Canon.

Very appropiate for the passionate moment when Sheploo lets all his repression about Kaidan go away and catharsis breaks free and wild.<3

You guys take this "romance" crap too seriously. I hope Bioware's next major series doesn't have any romance option at all. Maybe it'll cut down on the weird, creepy, and some times hostile threads.

You got the times wrong.

Commander Shepard (10:23)

Equal Oppurtunity Fantasy Shepard (6:45)

I played them simultaneously side by side and did not see any difference.

Did notice that after they hug goodbye Liara smiles for Shepard before and as she turns away, but does not small for that lady.

I wish I didn't have to but it's a part of my story now, damnit! And I will not tolerate a canon! >:|

@Darkhour Unless BioWare tells me straight up, "There's a canon." Then it doesn't exist.

Stop being sexist. Woman can be kickass marines, deal with it. Like I said before, women are just as good as men, if not better.
And you do relize FemShep was named FAN FAVORITE, right? She also has thhe biggest thread on BSN, so yeah....FemShep is awesome, and she is very loved, and very realistic. Deal with it, okay?

They don't have the balls.

I wish they'd prove me wrong. Awakening was excellent in that regard.

Because the maleShep players don't need to create support threads, they just play the game. :wizard:

According to the online feedback, the femShep players are only the vocal minority.

But you shouldn't care, just enjoy your game dammit.

Darkhour, instead of being sexist (notice: I am male myself, and straight), argue a bit better. There's no 'cannon' relationship. Also, see that nifty 'block' option on a userpage? Personally I am going to click it the moment you keep on insisting on being an sexist and a flaming troll - plus that nifty 'Report this user' button.

@OP: As someone referenced, it are just bugs and glitches. Just let's hope BW can solve such issues in ME3.

@Shadow_Soul: we don't need feminists here either. Stay way from the male vs. female debate, thank you!

@others (also from other topics): Bioware simply needs an Shephard to portray. Since the most ME-players seem to be male, it is logical BW uses an male Shep since it is easier for the most players to identify with Shephard then.
Just saying.

I've seen plenty of female marines. too So what? None of those kick ass women marines are frontline fighters There are 0 female special forces soldiers. They aren't even allowed to apply.

Politically correct and factually correct are two different things. No matter how much you don't like the way nature made us, the facts remain regardless.

What are you talking about? Everybody knows Sheploo's true love is Kaidan. Their mutual repressed feelings will become apparent in a wild, flaming manner in ME3 :wizard:

...To be honest though, I'm not really sure whether it's Kaidan or Joker.

I think there's more genuine sexual tension between MaleShep and Kaidan.

MaleShep/Joker pairing just doesn't seem very natural, whereas MaleShep/Kaidan does, imo.

Then it's a good thing this game series takes place IN THE FUTURE when all of these silly institutionalized gender roles have presumably been dispensed with.

I'm going to assume you meant "We don't need gender debates here" instead of "we don't need feminists here".

Because the latter is just rude and ignorant.

Man, you are a big stew of WRONGGGGAG! First off this is the not the present day. Second of of all glasses and cigerettes aren't a part of human nature, yet we still enjoy them. Part of what makes us human is going against our own nature...so do you really want to be a primative animal?

The hypocrisy is painful to read. Men generally have greater upper body strength. Therefore men are superior.

Now, do you want to go into intelligence as well?

You do know that 4 out of 5 players play male. Loud minorities are always heard. Why do you think ME3 has gay romances? If the fantasy female shepard is such a favorite why do only 20% of people play her? Facts are facts. Deal with it.

So after playthrough 4 different playthroughs in ME2 (2 of which are ManShep, the other FemShep) I noticed a little something in LotSB that varied between the 2. All my characters initially romanced Liara, and all of them accepted to continue at that time. (I'm a Liara fanatic, by the way. So I guess I noticed this easier.)

- Liara cries for ManShep, you actually hear her sobbing, after defeating the Shadow Broker.
- Liara still cries, but no sob or as much sentimental value for FemShep, after defeating the Shadow Broker.
As seen here:

- The paragon kiss looks normal for ManShep
- The paragon kiss looks awkward at first for FemShep. (Liara's arm goes through her arm.)
As seen in the same link as above.

- When ManShep first leaves and says "Don't be a stranger this time", Liara actually turns around and says she misses him when he walks away.
- When FemShep first leaves, Liara just stayed looking at her computer, saying nothing.

- On the normandy, Liara smiles a lot more with ManShep.
- On the normandy, Liara doesn't smile as often or at all with FemShep. (Especially after you tell her you want her to have something special to come back to, while she does with ManShep.)

...So, my question is, did they purposely make the FemShep romance less sentimental than the ManShep one? I mean I can understand the graphical issues, but the sobbing and the smiling?

QFT. This is the most logical conclusion
