I totally support this... it was pretty hard to hear the news by clicking the news-stands in ME2, because you had to go through at least 1 loading screen in order to get to them
at least in ME1 you had elevators

In one of the e3 videos it has a bunch on news networks on screen. on the upper right you can see the Alliance symbol with the letters NN. So they have thought of the Alliance News Network.

I support an interactive news extranet website, where Shepard can check on what's going on when he/she's on the Normandy or any applicable hub area.

That's a lot more work for the writers, innit? They already had to pull back from mini-romances with the Cerberus crew thanks to their ME2 workload; can't imagine how difficult this would be now for ME3.

If it could be done (or if BW's already looking into it), I'm game. Maybe have radio chatter from Admirals Hackett and Anderson on the tactical side of the war. Then on the other side of the spectrum, news reports about how civilians are doing and how politicians/companies are reacting to the confict from Emily Wong (she better not die!).
