What's going on here? Do they get free +all stats automatically at certain levels, or what?

I've only noticed this with my Rogue companions, simply because I put all their Cunning at exactly 40. But sometimes I go to level them up, and see that it's at 41 or 42. They aren't wearing any +Cunning gear, either.
What's going on here? Do they get free +all stats automatically at certain levels, or what?

No, they don't. Maybe you have some +x to all attributes gear? Can't think of any other reason.

Hmm, I see Sebastian's DLC item includes +all, but I could have sworn I saw it happen with Varric, too, only his doesn't. Perhaps I was mistaken. I was certain I'd had him quaff a Maker's Sigh to fix it, though.
