E3 Trailer Analysis - New Trailer Now In - General Discussion

As was done with the VGA Trailer, this thread has been set up to analyse the all-new videos for E3.

Pictures

- Okay, so there are a lot of Reapers, and they're attacking Earth...
- ...Along with their mini-Reaper pals. Looks like we've got a boss battle coming up.
- People running away, getting into rescue shuttles. The Reapers aren't rounding them up just yet, then.
- And the shuttles are taking off, along a road with wreckage across it. It looks like some vehicle has been destroyed.
- Reapers reapin' errbody out there! Interestingly, these are blue, and seem longer than others we've seen.
- Atlas Mech is looking pretty cool.
- Atlas shooting Shepard. Looks like a large sniper or, dare I say it, one of the promised lasers.
- Well, Shep blowed it up. That means that Heavy Weapons are back, then. And looking pretty asplosive, too.
- Shepard looking pretty un-armoured here. This probably means that Shepard's taking up arms during the trial.
- And Anderson, also in formal wear, is with Shep. Squadmate? Or is Jenkins 3.0 going to be someone we care about?
- Given that the backdrop looks similar to where the trial is taking place, I'd surmise that we're on the run rather than the offensive here.
-It doesn't take a genius to guess that turrets are in this game.
- And apparently we use them to shoot the crap out of ground-Reapers.
- MORE DAKKA! Not much new going on here, but that planet looks alien. I'm thinking Palaven.
- "I sure wish we had some grenades!"
- Cerberus, apparently, doesn't. It looks to me like Grenades have Taken A Level In Badass, as that appears far more explosive than in ME1.
- Sliding down a broken building. As Casey Hudson has said, we'll have some more dynamic gameplay events.
- Is that a new husk type? Because it looks to me like it could be that... or a Thorian Creeper. It doesn't exactly look mechanical.
- The Geth are joining the fight. Looks like it could be Legion, but I can't tell.
-Riot Shields could make for interesting gameplay. Could we pick them up?
- My money's on James Vega - looks male, and has an alliance symbol rather than N7, and Kaidan is wearing Spectre gear in the other screenshots.
- Not great quality, but in the video, it's a mechanical claw rearing up. Husk Thresher Maw? Or new and interesting Reaper claw? Both sound pretty terrifying.
- Again, it's not clear from the picture, but that's Shepard running up what appears to be a ground-Reaper.
- Earth get's the Michael Bay treatment. At this point in the video, a sign pops up briefly saying "proximity warning" which sounds sinister. Also, this seems to be a satellite feed, which hints that it is unmanned. I have to say, that much explosions doesn't bode well for us saving Earth.

Statements

The dev team are sure to say a few words - this is where we pull everything they say apart for hidden meanings.

Earth. Reapers entering it at re-entry speed.

2 Reapers over a human city, presumably Seattle/Vancouver. Looks like they are getting hit by the Alliance.

Some sort of dock? A dark figure and some sort of uniformed worker look at the distance.

shuttle with Alliance logo and colour code lands near the dock. Notice
the road on the background. And the trees. Parts of the location are
destroyed.

There you go, alliance logo, background 3 blue trucks, one of them hit by the most recent Reaper attack.

A soldier with an Alliance logo. Armour makes me think that it's Kaiden Alenko.

Civilians trying to enter a shuttle, possibly for evac. Armoured figure, Kaiden?

Reaper? You can see two small fighters making evasive manouvres.

A Reaper uses his GARDIAN laser, there is another beside him. Looks like they are attacking the evac spot.

2 shuttles try to escape, one gets shot down.

EA, Bioware logos over a haptic omni-tool interface.

Atlas
mech, Cerberus logo, Liara's arm, pilot inside the mech, 2 canons per
hand? Perhaps interchangeable? The other one is used when the other
reloads?

Shepard rolls to evade a rocket by the mech. Looks like the background is from Sur'Kesh.

Shepard stands up and uses the grenade launcher from ME2.

Closer shot.

The new Normandy SR2, sleek paintjob, Seattle/Vancouver on the background.

Shepard rotates a turret. Is it inside the Normandy? Take a look at the metallic background.

and shoots at what appears to be a Reaper perhaps? Shepard moves backwards.

Shepard moves backwars, in a natural location (Sur'Kesh_ while firing towards a Reaper.

Cerberus assault troops. One of them lands from the Kodiak with his jet...shoes?

'Background, Sur'Kesh, weapon, Mattock.

Shepard throws a ME-style grenade. The attack is very effective.

Shepard uses charge, background, possibly Sur'Kesh?

And lands at two geth that look like Legion? Maybe Cerberus creates them if you give Legion to them?

A husk, background, Earth?

Shepard

the background, a husk gets shot. Maybe an ally towards that direction?

A part of a Reaper. Looks geth-like. Is the background Shur'Kesh?

2 troopers fire at you from a Kodiak shuttle.

As a response to them, Shepard takes cover.

Garrus had reach, but Shepard had flexibility.

Shooter shoots at futuristic Cerberus riot shields? Again, Sur Kesh.

Shepard, custom camo armour, custom colour Widow, helmet carries a (selectable?) Alliance logo.

A Reaper, right in front of Liara, Shepard and Garrus. 2 Light poles around them.

The Harvester is looking sexy.

Haptic screen with statistics, Shepard uses pull on Cerberus troopers.

Shepard uses cryo ammo to freeze two Cerberus troopers.

And then uses the omni-blade to crush one of them.

Shepard runs over a Reaper?

The Normandy seems to be dropping something. I am not sure about the location.

PROXIMITY WARNING. Too close for a bombarding run, Joker.

Reapers enter Earth's atmosphere, at re-entry speeds.

I
missed some things, to be more accurate, imageshack didn't accept those
images. At some point in the game, Shepard umm...slides from a
skyscraper, as Casey Hudson said, not a while ago.

Mesina2 pointed out that Legion is piloting a ship at 0:48, but I must have missed that.
