Ok, I like most of your have had issues with redeeming the code for the Cerberus Network, or actually getting the Cerberus Network to work so I could access the DLC. I contacted EA Support this morning, and got an answer on the problem. The issue isn't with the game itself, it's with the PSN. According to them, most of their games requiring constant network connection, (FIFA was an exampled given), have not been functioning properly since the PSN came back up. I've considered this as a problem, since honestly, the whole PSN Restoration seemed kinda like a rush job by Sony to meet a deadline they set.

If this is true, that means, unfortunately we have to wait for Sony to fix all the bugs wit the the PSN, which given their latest track record may take months. I'm tempted to trade in ME2 towards Infamous 2 or another upcoming game, but I really want to play ME2 so I can be ready for ME3. I just thought I would share the info EA provided me regarding the issue.

Yes, so it would seem. I haven't tried recently as I traded in ME2 for Infamous 2. I wasn't expecting a solution from either EA or Sony this week considering they are all tied up with E3. So I'll wait till some point in July before I pick it up again, and see if it works.

by download do you mean that: your code worked and the cerberus pack (around 600-700 meg) downloaded to your ps3? then did you install it? after that what should happen? I have done all this but it doesnt seem to have changed the game in any way, ie no second screen open at start menu, no interactive comic

(Maybe spoilers)
No I just re-downloaded it. I activated my code a long time ago when I bought the game(first day purchase). I had no space to install other games so I uninstalled mass effect temporally. By the way the comic activates after the intro scene with the destruction of the Normandy, with you floating in space. There isn't any second screen for the cerberus network (as in the XBOX and PC version) in the main meny. So you need to play the game up until the destruction of the Normandy if you want to find out if the install worked. However what Miranda says with the Illusive Man in the very beggining changes if the cerberus network is installed. If it is installed she will NOT say that Shepard left the Counsil to die-the whole conversation is shorter.

I was hoping to pick up Mass Effect 2 soon and I do hope these issues are resolved by the time I get my copy. It would be a shame not having access to all the cool DLC the PS3 version comes with.

I did get all the DLC no problem - just no news feed on the title screen as I've seen on various screenshots (the right laptop has it's lid down and says 'Connected to EA').

For the rest it does nothing.

DLC works fine as I mentioned which I redeemed last week.

That is good news.

Hey megabug7...just curious.

The Cerberus Network code that comes with your copy of Mass Effect 2, you redeem it directly from the PSN Store or from the BioWare website?

If you have already registered your Cerberus code on your console, you can redownload it through:

PSN - Login and go to Account Management. Then go to Transaction Management and you should see Download List. Find the Cerberus Network DLC and redownload/install it. If you see any other DLC for Mass Effect 2, go ahead and download/install that as well.

Xbox Live - Go to My Account, then Transaction History and find Download List. You should see the content in the Download List. Re-download and install the DLC for Mass Effect 2.

Once you have finished the installation, restart your console and login. To verify that it is working, when you next get on the Normandy you should be able to access other weapons in the Weapon Locker in the Armory and other costumes in Shepherd's quarters.

Hey EA Agent how about an answer regarding the audio lag issue. No one from Bioware has even brought it up, yet there are plenty of posts about it. Or the issue can be ignored some more in hopes that it will disappear. ignorance is bliss huh? Thanks!
