Could have been, I was thinking Krogan, actually. Since this is the start of the game, it's most likely it's gonna be Grunt.KenKenpachi wrote...
Was it me or did one of the voices talking to shep sound like a Batarian?

According to Stephen Reid they 'saved Return for the fans', and I can kind of see his point. I do think the trailer they showed was a better intro to the game than Return for people who haven't been following it, I mean Return gave no reason to think you could play anything but republic for a start, it could've been anything.Twitchmonkey wrote...
Turns out there actually is a new cinematic and it's pretty awesome:

Why they chose to show snippets of this interspersed throughout old footage instead of just showing us the new cinematic is baffling, but there it is.
That said, I loved Return, I'm glad smugglers got some cinematic lovin', I was starting to waver on rolling one before now. Also pretty cool to see important characters basically running a flashpoint. That's more or less what it was, right? Four characters playing through a story-driven instance? I hope they flow even half that well from one scene to the next in-game.

Was still an improvement over the year before where James Cameron talked about Avatar: The Game for half an hour.88mphSlayer wrote...

I think I'll pick up Ghost Recon: Future Soldier next year. Tomb Raider looked great, too.

According to previous reports, their conference is 5 hours long. Let's hope that half of the conference is not Kinect/sports/dancing games.
Either way, Ubisoft had a better conference than both Microsoft and EA, but that's not saying much.

Five hours long? It's EST here, and when it starts at 8:00PM... then it would end at 1:00AM in the morning...

Far Cry 3 sounds like it might take the best bits from the first 2 games and add in an improved factional system with branching plotlines depending on who you support. I'm wary of marketing though.Capt. Obvious wrote...
I liked Farcry 2. Might buy Farcry 3 as well. But why are they talking about another WW2 game? Don't we already have enough of those?
