Anyone else notice that Shep still has the scars he had in ME2 during the Microsoft conference?
Is this a good or bad thing?
Looks like Renegade scarring is coming back

It means the game doesn't take place that long after ME2.

Renegades can look badass once again. Although I think if you import a save game where you healed Shepards scars they won't be there of course.

I guess it makes sense to keep the ME2 style scars since ME3 doesn't take place long after Arrival. This is good news for people going into the game that want to look like they did before.

It was a **** idea to have it in Fable and it was a **** idea to have it in ME2. But, after being in ME2 it was always going to be included in ME3.
I just hope that using the full paragon option or the anti-scar machine on the Normandy in ME2 transfers over into ME3 so I don't have to try and get rid of the stupid things again.

I have a feeling if you heal your scars in ME2, it wouldn't be possible to get them back in 3, no matter how Renegade you are. That's the way it should be, anyway.

I figured that out when I saw Shepard's forehead in the pic with Kaidan and Liara, so no surprise for me.

I hate those ridiculous scars. I hope I won't have to get rid of those things again. They were a terrible idea to begin with.

I'm in the minority, but, I'm happy they're coming back.
Now, I just need to make them pink.

If the scars are not tied to the morality bar, then I am very happy for their return.
I'm a paragon character, but I was disappointed that I couldn't get those scars, especially since they removed all the scars from the first game.

They were a bad idea in ME2, now they are just doubling down on their idiocy by keeping them. I mean really if you turn to the dark side of the force you look different? If you want scary looks just have people start off fully scarred and explain it as the surgeries after your cyber treatments aren't complete. Oh and here is a cheap and easy device to fix it when you have time, have it fix one scar at a time so you can pick your preferred level of scarring. Bam done and you aren't stealing something dumb from star wars.

I'm actually curious, can people state why they hate the scars without saying "Ugly" or "Star Wars?"

I too noticed this when all of the other camotion was going on. And it is def a good thing, esp for immersion.

I don't mind the scarring at all, especially since they have an explanation for it. Also, I'd rather them keep it since a lot of people will be going into the game with them and don't want them to be removed all of a sudden.
If people don't want them, there's always still the option to remove them since the Normandy's still there.

I only kept them on one character, a selfish jerk of a guy, because I was going for a Terminator look for him.

I guess I can understand why some people don't like it, but I am relieved that they are keeping it.
It just wouldn't be the same in ME3 without seeing my Renegade DEATH glare.

Would be interested to know what will happened in case I healed the scarring in ME2... I did that with one of the characters, since after a 30hs playthrough, those scars were getting old fairly quickly.
