Anywho, so am I correct in assuming that vista/windows 7 voice control is close enough to the Kinect's software that voice commands on the PC is probable, unless it becomes a weird licensing/commercial thing?

Weird licensing/commercial thing

No voice command on the PC version
I bet they will find some kind of excuse

Did you see Jesse moving during that play? No, he was stood still throughout, the only thing he seemed to use was his voice and the pad in his hand. If you saw any of the other footage of Kinect games most of them were using actual body movements. As Mesina and others have pointed out, the only thing we've truly seen so far is voice recognition which could be easily just used via a mic which means could be used just as much on PC and also the PS3

I mean yeah sure you need only a mic to yell commands, but you also need the engine to "parse" it.
I doubt MS would just hand it over to Bioware.

Actually don't think I did...
...because...
Is Chris a Moderator or an a Mass Effect Dev? If He's a mod he posted that link because he is closing all of the other kinect/voice command threads (even one that was just joke commands!), and linking to this one. So, it would make sense that a link to the Demo should be here, and it should either be in the OP or something that people can see just by clicking on the "bioware" tag.
And if he's a Dev, it would be a really dick move to ackowledge that you have seen this thread, could deny it now if it's not in, and then go and deny us later.
Also, in regaurds to licensing things...how nice does the X-box division of microsoft get along with the rest of it? Like how likely do you think one part of microsoft will shaft another? BTW, I'm seriously asking that...Corperations act really wierd sometimes...

The speech engine is probably microsoft technology and has got nothing to do with Bioware. I'm pretty sure this will be an xbox exclusive thing.

I doubt MS would just hand it over to Bioware. From ME's point of view there is probably not much of a difference between commands issued by the controller and voice commands processed by the xbox software.
This is what I'm thinking. It's not so much that they couldn't do it but that it would be seperate technology and they don't want to spend the time developing it.

Yeah even Unreal Tournament had this in 2004... rofl, i admit i had forgot about this feature been implemented in other games and how it could actually be fun too in Mass Effect.Ultai wrote...
SOCOM did voice commands YEARS AGO. Rainbow Six has it, I'll facepalm if they try to pass this off as only Kinect can do it.
