I thought it was really inventive, and hopefully it can give a different flow to combat, i am somewhat worried that this will basically have the same effect as the punch in ME2.

Their are a couple of ways to think about it, just throwing this out there....
• Heat-based Omni-blade
• Electrical....
• Nervous system...

There is the basic melee attack(punch, elbow, etc), and then every class has it's own distinctive "heavy" melee attack.

To be honest, that blade looked exagerated. I mean, from my point of view it felt like that because the sheer size of it would've placed a lot of strain on the generators, not to mention that it popped out of nowhere.

Personally I liked the Omni-blade a lot...
Now give me the option of using an Omni-shield in tandem with it and possibly Tech Armour and I'll really feel like a space knight!!

Comparing just doing a stabbing motion to putting the gun aside and whipping out the real knife?
Sounds pretty impractical to me.

The new E3 trailer is way too slick & stylish for it's own good.
