 Let's say I started off with the unpatched original game.

Could I choose which patch to load, or do I have to always load 1.02?

Because they finally fixed Anders and his Rivalry in 1.02, but the combat in 1.02 SUCKS.

I'm currently at 1.01 which is nice and generally safe, and with fun combat. 

After sating my curiousity, after downloading patch 1.02, I can just delete the Dragon Age 2 Data, redownload any DLC I want, and play from 1.00.

But I'd rather play from 1.01 and I'm unsure if you can choose which patch you can download, if there's one that's more up to date.

So will I remain Anderless until they fix the combat in a future patch, or can I have my little loophole to their plan?

Don't think is possible........when a new patch is in, the old one is out, on ps3 of course.
The only chance is for the future patch (if it will be), but don't count on it.
