Ok so, I've been playing Mass Effect since last year and I've yet to get this achievement. I have at least 3 characters at level 60 and still missing the GS for it. Is there some kind of special way of aquireing it? I'm currently doing an Insanity playthrough and at 43h.33m I got level 60 again and guess what? Still no achievement unlocked? Can anyone help me get it or is it just permanently broke? Also while on the subject of stuff not being awarded, I haven't got the Scholar Achievement either after talking to everyone in the game and following a crap-ton of guides and walkthroughs. Well thanks anyway to anyone that can help me.

cruddy problem, im sorry to hear about that, i absolutely hate when i deserve an achievement but it wont pop! i wouild say try clearing out your system cache. this will swipe the drive clean of all those updates and other stuff that might hinder these problems. generally this will clear out a handful of problems, such as a major plot character not showing up, people getting stuck or glitched in the same spot.

but this problem can fix a number of intangable factors that contribute to getting an achievement. i have had plenty of friends instantly pop the troublesome achv after just clearing the cache once. in some cases, the achv could pop right as you start up the game again.

Thanks Asari, after I cleared my System Cache I got the Scholar achievement on my first try. I deleted my level 60 characters as well as my Profile save before the Cache clearing so now I have to start all over again. Hopefully once I reach 60 I will finally 100% Mass Effects achievements.
