Collector’s Edition question. In the image for the collector’s edition in the small text where it say “Also Includes” it says “Additional downloadable mission & characters”

It’s also in the Video for the CE

But further down the page where it lists everything that’s in the CE, they forget to mention “Additional downloadable mission & characters”….

Was it something they were going to add but have taken it out? Or is it just a typo on the site?

Sorry if already mentioned, but will there be any physical copes of the CE on launch day at various stores or was the CE a pre-order only deal? I know Chris mentioned no more were going to be made, but has an allocation been made and set aside for retailers at launch?

Okay I admit, having the physical copy would be much cooler but have bought in pre-order Mass Effect 3 Digital Deluxe Edition is the best I've done for my long time.

P.S.I know the topic is not exactly about this, but you are the only ones who understand my excitement.

So this is basically sold out everywhere now? If I can't get the CE bonus content, is there really any point not to wait for a big price drop on the regular edition? Paying $60 for the standard edition is basically throwing money away. That even cuts both ways, since I'd be willing to pay for the CE if it were available, so that's a lost sale if I can't.

The Italian release, I remember when they were selling those models for 80 dollars US at the Bioware store. Lets see collectors edition 80 dollars plus 80 dollar model equals 160 US dollars. Italy's math is off if they are charging you 177 us dollars before tax.

PS it only 35 US dollars now.

1) Will the Collector's Edition contain extra character(s) and mission(s) that are not going to be in the Standard Edition?

2) If so, then will this content be available to purchase separately as downloadable content (DLC)?

3) If this content will be available as separate DLC, then will we be able to purchase it as soon as the game comes out, or will this DLC only be made available later on?

Yes, i wanted to ask this question too. And I'm  most interested in Russian release. If there any officials from BioWare or EA watching this comunity, please, answer as soon as possible, cause many people need to decide, what variant to buy!

If you would have done some additional searching, these questions have been answered in multiple threads and multiple times within those threads.

1) Yes, the bonus mission and character that were advertised will be available for free on the CE.
2) Yes, the bonus misison and character will be available as a separate DLC for those who did not buy the CE.
3) This DLC will be available on day 1 for purchase.

Are you trying to buy from Amazon.co.uk? Apparently, Amazon UK does not carry the Collector's Edition at all (or, at least, they have not accounced anything yet). You can try Gamestation.co.uk. Hope that helps!

Quick update - Amazon UK says that they have no plans yet to carry the Collector's Edition, but that customers can keep checking. However, since the game is out in about 3 weeks, I would say that it is a safe bet that Amazon UK will never carry the Collector's Edition. I think that some retailers received an exclusive deal to sell the CE in the UK. But, who knows?

 For anyone who hasn't ordered the CE yet, I would hit up FYE's site. They offer overnight shipping and ship on release day. It beats Target and Toys R Us which only offer regular shipping and apparently ship only a couple of days after release.

In the UK, Mass Effect 3: N7 Collector's Edition is a GAME group (www.game.co.uk) exclusive.

www.mightyape.co.nz is a New Zealand games retailer that has the collectors edition and can ship overseas. Prices are $130 NZD for PC and $150 NZD for PS3 and 360, plus however much it costs to ship. Make of that what you will.


EDIT: They offer the Valkyrie rifle and Defender armor as pre-order bonuses, no Argus rifle.

I had to preorder mine online from best buy to get the reward zone points also of course! lol. Everywhere else is really just out and like they said there won't be any at launch, i also preordered one at gamestop. The N7 Warfare gear is nice but their probably give you the option to purchase and download it anyway eventually. For me amazon was too expensive over 90 bucks with shipping etc.. I didn't want to wait for the day the game comes out and wait an additional 48 hours to see if Gamestop has a copy of CE that someone didn't pick up, So i payed 87 bucks to just pick it up on the day it comes out though in the back of my mind i worry they won't have it for PC due to the fact i couldn't do it in the store but whatever pretty sure they will have it. I really hate origin but i only play on pc for games. Now for me to get more cash and get the CE for the art of mass effect!
