I would very much appreciate some information on this point as well.
If there's any chance of this CE expiring, I'd like to know before it is too late and I have to opt for a European version with significantly less features.

That does not, however, preclude the making of a Reaper's Edition or something, similar to how Halo 3 and Reach had Limited and Legendary editions both.

Judging by the absurd pricehike of the collector's edition in Europe compared to the US, I'm pretty sure it won't be any less than the US edition.

Another thread mentioned a bioware boo-boo where they mentioned a prothean squad-mate/mission as CE day 1 DLC. Then it was stated by Chris Priestly that this was an error, and then just now the thread was locked. Hmmmm...

In my opinion that's the way to satisfy everyone regarding this particular issue. Those who want it, get it. Those who don't simply don't download it. Seems to work to me

Just put my N7 edition on pre-order at gamestop, along with skyrim ( both 360 ) and uncharted 3, when i picked up infamous 2. Yes, i have a serious gaming issue. Also likely going to pre-order ac: revelations, halo: ce anniversary, and battlefield 3. Possibly gears 3, as well. Like i said, serious issue.

Its pretty cool and all, but I would have liked a downloadable mission or companion or something (in addition to the dog).

....and I don't know why, but the fabric patch is kind of pissing me off. Its like getting one of those buttons or a few stickers....ME3 should have something more epic, even if its just playing cards or something.

Gamestop = $79.99 + $19.99 international shipping = £60 at current exchange rate

So even with shipping the US retailers ar 10-20% cheaper

I don't care about out of game extras, so sorry if this has been asked before, will the collectors edition have any in game content that can't be bought separately, namely quests or companions? (a prothean was mentioned in a rumor) I don't mind missing out on outfits as much but would hate to miss out on storyline...

I just looked at both sites and was about to purchase the GAME one, if you are right it means I was about to make a £10 mistake..
