Seriously hope amazon.co.uk lists the CE.

Same here!

I sent them an e-mail asking if it will be availible for pre-order on their site, and the said that it's not in their database, that they will try to get it and to keep cheking on their website.

Among all the other members posting on the forum, I would also like to know whether there is going to be an Ultimate Collectors Edition release sometime in the coming weeks?

It has been stated by Chris Priestly that the N7 CE is the definitive Mass Effect edition. There will not be an Uber Collectors Edition as previously planned. Sorry to be the bringer of very very bad news :(

If there will be one (I think that's a pretty safe assumption), I don't even want to know what European retailers will ask for it. I've already seen this edition available for pre-order for 99.99€.

Edit: Reason - masterkajo just posted that there won't be one. Thanks for the info.

Casey Hudson answered today at the live Q&A, that this is the uber edition they were planning

Exclusive content? That just means the standard issue isn't the complete game, very cheap trick.

Definately no purchase of either version.

Ordered my copy of the CE from GameStop Finland. Now, roll on 2012!

What what? Can you give me a link or do I have to visit an actual shop?

I'll be buying the collectors edition. I bought the collectors edition for ME2, and feel that it was worth it. You'll probably be able to buy the extra outfits / weapons as DLC. They did that with 'The Prince' for Dragon Age II.

Can someone confirm and deny for me that this contain the tin in the form like ME2 steelbook and no the bulky tin of the original? I need to know. I honestly dislike the first ME collector's tin.

Actually, how limited the number of CE copies is? I might get a work this summer, and I could buy the CE from the first payment, but I'm not sure when. What do you guys think: can I still safely pre-order it until the end of 2011?

Here's a nice news for all the italian fans of Mass Effect :) Gamestop's got the CE for all platforms, sadly the price is the same for each platform, 89.98€. Usually I don't buy at Gamestop (I prefer DD stores like Steam) but this CE looks pretty awesome and I don't want to take any risk. Gonna preorder the PC version tomorrow :D :D

OK the UK pricing for this is ridiculous:

GAME.co.uk = £69.99

Gamestop = $79.99 + $19.99 international shipping = £60 at current exchange rate

So even with shipping the US retailers ar 10-20% cheaper

Really?! Is this right?!
I just looked at both sites and was about to purchase the GAME one, if you are right it means I was about to make a £10 mistake..

The UK and mainland European prices are ridiculously high. We need to raise some awareness about this. It's even more expensive for mainland Europeans.

Note that on Amazon.co.uk the regular PC edition is only £27.99, but the Collector's edition PC version on other websites is £69.99! That's 150% more expensive!

What's going on BioWare/EA?

just one point people always appear to forget is VAT on uk sales. Which is 20% Still £10 to high in the uk, dont know about EU but the price isnt all Games fault.

Demigod as far as I am aware if it is listed as sold by Amazon.co.uk then it is shipped in the UK with VAT overhead as well.

If amazon which has the same 20% VAT overhead as game can offer it at £27.99 then game should be able to as well since both are on the same playing field.

As far as I am aware almost all games I had shipped from within the UK mainland apart from a few but they were over £18 and had VAT pre paied.

The VAT argument on games as far as I am aware is null and void cause unless the game is under £18 and then it is VAT free.

So ya, no retail stores are taking CE preorders till Fall, this raises the question of why did you guys show this so dam early. It feels like you want everyone to buy from the EA store and said screw it to the other gamers. This is horrible m ove, you should have announced the CE near the fall T_T

I order from Iceland and never pay british VAT on Amazon.co.uk no matter the cost and 20£ pounds or more has free shipping.

Here is one example inFAMOUS 2 cost £36.99 but for me when vat is off it cost 30£ with free shipping.

Any one that orders from a country that is not based in the EU as far as I know does not have to pay the VAT so they get it knocked off from amazon. I belive Iceland falls into that catagory since it is not a full EU member yet.

In the UK where I am they have to include it. All items over £18 (as far as I know soon to be £15 in september I belive) have VAT included. Play and other jersey companies mostly have UK warehouses for those items that are above the £18 limit or have a VAT prepaied scheme setup.

The Digital version costs £54.99 to download from EA (which is a hell of a lot considering we miss out on all the physical tiems), and Game actually upped the PC price from £60 to £70 overnight. I don't think VAT comes into this, especially when we look at the fact that the standard edition is at a reasonable price.
