Collector's Ed. aside, any word on retailer exclusive items yet? There's likely to be something, right?Cyberstrike nTo wrote...

Oh I hope not. I am so sick of having to play "which retailer will have the DLC content I will actually use" shuffle.
Especially when the dev/publisher then goes to release all of the DLC via the XBL marketplace a few weeks after release anyway, making retailer exclusives kind of...pointless. That's how I see it anyway, I did it with LA Noire and found that it wasn't really necessary.
I doubt that BW will go down the retailer exclusives route, not for in-game content anyway. To me the ME3 CE as it stands is great, I was initially a bit disappointed that there would be no "uber edition" to speak of but this collectors ed. is certainly worth it.

@rft have you seen this? biowarestore.com/mass-effect/mass-effect-accessories/ssv-normandy-ship-replica
I did ask Chris Priestly about the possibility of an "uber" collectors edition, his reply was essentially that "these (the normal game and the N7 CE) are the only two versions of the game I know of" so I don't think there will be a third edition of the game announced - if there was it would have been done all at once at E3.

It is of course everyone's own decision to buy or not to buy but I don't see the harm. Either way (multiplayer or not) you end up with a great single player game with a lot of content and replayabilty. If they decide to add multiplayer - great you get even more value for your money; but IMHO - even without mutliplayer - the game will be well worth its money.TS2Aggie wrote...
Would you mind terribly if I were to politely inquire as to whether or not we will be getting a definite answer about whether the game will have a multiplayer element in it before the N7 Collector's Edition is no longer available for purchase? A previous tweet by Casey Hudson ('We are focusing on SP') doesn't actually answer this question directly and I'd like to know for certain before I decide whether to get this or not.
Thank you.
If, however, you won't buy because of multiplayer (do boycott or whatnot) you still miss out on the great single player content.
To sum up: BUY!

Looks like it is again (like ME2 CE) exclusive to game.co.uk in the UK.stpaul wrote...
Any idea why amazon uk doesn't offer the CE?

Amazon.ca wasnt offering it until this week, so they could add it at a later date or its a exclusive vendor in the UK.stpaul wrote...

I was really hoping for more exclusive in-game content (DLC only available to people who buy the Collector's Edition) and maybe something more tangible like a small diecast model of the Normany or the shuttle.
Again, I'm happy to have a Collector's Edition of ME3 but I really expected more from BioWare and EA for an important game like this.

I don't understand why people wanting more exclusive in-game content. I think everything in-game should be available for everyone buying the game (since it is in no way limited in quanity - besides the publisher deciding they won't make it available to non CE) or at least an option to buy it.Trekfanboy wrote...
This Collector's Edition isn't bad (I pre-ordered one) but I can't help but feel a little let down by BioWare and EA. I don't think I'm the only one who expected more from the Collector's Edition of the last Mass Effect game (at least the last one involving Shepard). The art book and mini litho are junk, the tin is "interesting" but worthless.

As a collector, I am more interested in physical collector items that are indeed limited in quantiy (or at least not as common as the standard edition). The tin, lithograph and the art book are IMO the best parts about the CE.
Also you can order a Normady ship replica from the Bioware store (shipping in late 2011) to make your collector's edition into some kind of uber edition (with a big item) yourself. Pricewise it should be about the same as if they made on.

Strange - especially since Amazon.com had it listed even before E3 (likely because some idiot took the lock off the item page early).
Anyway, the ME3 CE certainly isn't vendor exclusive in the UK - it's available at both GAME - www.game.co.uk/lowdown.aspx and Gameplay tinyurl.com/64bzbdf as well as GameStation tinyurl.com/66gcxru but I agree it is weird that some UK online retailers have it listed and some don't - I even saw Halo 4 listed on amazon.co.uk earlier

AFAIK, game.co.uk, gamestation.co.uk and gameplay.co.uk all belong together. So it indeed seems the CE is somewhat exclusive. I personally would really like to buy from amazon.co.uk but alas it won't happend I guess.

The Mass Effect 3 N7 Collector’s Edition is available for pre-order now exclusively at Game in limited quantities.
Bioware as a customer please stop doing exclusives with GAME in the UK. I am getting fed up of all these special editions going to GAME. I stopped buying from them a long time ago since they are over charging more then anywhere else.
Looks like its the digital deluxe edition for me. I urge all people (as much as you want this collectors edition) to cancel preorders from GAME and show bioware that you will not support exclusives to one company particually GAME in the UK.
Please order from elsewhere and don't buy from GAME otherwise I can see this getting worse and realy want it to stop. I realy want to see all these special editions else where and stop being GAME exclusives on disk.

Just end up doing what I did. Buy the rest of the preorder bonuses from EBAY. Or hope that microsoft screws up and puts all the bonuses up for download for free like they did with ME2. That was a good day.GuitarShredUK wrote...
