Have two questions,
Is this the right version I should be pre-ordering (it says CE but I only see the gamebox)?

And what reputation does gamestation have with youselves? I'll be shipping to Aus, happy to wait the extra time to save $$ if reliable.

yeah thats the pc version of the collectors edition.and i have nothing but good things to say about preordering at gamestop they are very reliable.

UK exclusive to game (or this is where I preordered and ONLY place i have found) - it on there atm for £69.50

Actually, the CE version is available over at Gamestation UK, and it's roughly 10£ cheaper. Though, for some reason, I can't pre-order it. In the checkout it keeps asking for a Delivery method and I see no way to set it anywhere. Anyone else having the same problem?

While we're at it, how does Gamestation compare to GAME in terms of reliability of deliveries and such? Can anyone share their experiences? I haven't used any of these stores and I'd like to hear from someone who already did. :)

Careful, that's the pc version you've linked to. If you choose the xbox 360 option at the top middle of the screen, you'll see (surprise!!) that the xbox price is the same as Game ie £69.99. For my own part, I wish they'd stop doing these retailer exclusive deals, because it's blatantly ant-competitive, and in terms of restriction of purchase rights, in Europe at least, probably illegal too, though no one's challenged it yet. It's a restrictive trade practice that ensures retailers get to line their own pockets at rates well above what they'd be if market forces and freedom of choice were allowed to operate.

Here´s hoping that some N7 Editions come to Portugal. If not, I´m already covered with a pre-order at Game.uk .

That wasn't Gamestop, that was Gamestation. Totally different company.

the bloody CE?! People in Danmark and all over Europe are furious about
not being able to order via amazon.co.uk!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Game.co.uk does ship to Europe. You can order from them.

At least you could either
confirm or dismiss the claims that all games ordered from amazon.de is
dubbed in german.

Well, ME2 had a German dub so it's highly likely ME3 will be too.

Pre-ordered it from Amazon.fr. Please don't let it be a French dub. Or at least let it be optional. :D

Gamestation, GAME and Gameplay are all the same company. Gamestation isn't that great, though, especially if you're a PC gamer. The prices tend to stay higher for longer, they start higher and I've found the stores to always feel dark and dirty, regardless of where they are or how new they are.

GAME do seem to be very bad with their pre-order pricing, though. Space Marine's CE is ridiculously expensive on their site, and the same price regardless of format, whereas other sites are carrying it for £20 cheaper (Which is 25% less!). I will try to get in contact with GAME to find out what's going on.

Edit: I just realised I completely forgot to answer the question. I used Gamestation's site pre-revamp, although it was a few years ago, and found they're pretty standard. I absolutely hate the new website, though, so I can't speak for how well it works.

Thank you for your answer! I must say, I am not especially fond of Gamestation's site much either. Just now, I've found out about the problem I've been having. The gist of it? Technical Problems:

Gamestation Costumer Service wrote...
Thank you for your email.I have had a look into this for you, and it seems that we are Expirancing technical problems with our website. This is why when you place an order there is not an option for different delivery. This is being investigated by our online team at the moment and should hopefully be resolved at some point this week.I do apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment this may have caused.

That settles that I guess. In the meanwhile, I have GAME to rely on. If all else fails, my pre-order is guaranteed, even if it is slightly more expensive. :)

Oh, yeah, I knew that. I just forgot to make it clear in my post. I edited it to clarify that. I was surprised at GAME rather because, in my experience, PC games tend to cost a little less than console ones, yet GAME still has the same price for every version. Did you manage to get anything out of them yet, OnlyShallow89?

It does. I'm from Portugal, and I've set up my pre-order at GAME UK with no problems (aside from a slight increase in price due to shipping). Oh, how I wish Amazon UK had it.

I'll keep you guys posted with any updates I have! :wizard:

And, like I said, you can pre-order from Amazon.fr as well. Their price is better than Game.co.uk's.

If the previous games are anything to go by, the DLC is tied to your account, not your game so, yes, you'll have acess to them in a regular edition if you unlocked them earlier with a CE. :)

I can't decide wheter or not to get the CE, yes a robotic dog could be fun, but for that much more cash.. But it's also the last game in that universe.. Uhh hard choices :D

EDIT: CE in USA: 79.99US$
CE in Denmark: 154.15 US$ !!!!!!:pinched:

Just to be clear I mean the "additionel character" that is shoved on the content part of the Collecters Edition - will he/she/it be something I can download with a regular game?

I'm not sure that regular character will still be in there - wasn't it removed from other ads or something?

In my experience, ordering from European stores usually costs less. Maybe try GAME UK or Gamestation and see if the price is lower. It was for me. :)

What I said applies to any DLC, be them characters, missions or weapons/armor. So long as you unlocked them with your account, you can use them in any version of the game you run. Meaning, you can get the CE, unlock all its DLC, and then install them over a Regular Edition and play with them, just like if it was a Collector's Edition. Hope that helps clarify things. ;)

@ Iohanna: I think we speak of 2 different things, but it's my fault, my English is not always so clear;)

@ Kaotician: The price I used in my example is the cheapest I've found in Europe, it's from GAME actually. 799dkr = 154.15 US$ in todays currency. I googled it, to see why we pay more in Europe (Yes I'm bored enough to do that ;) ) and I discovered the difference between taxes, income VAT etc between US and EU so that explains it ;)

I got in touch with GAME, and they basically gave me the usual "We're constantly reviewing our prices..." and other stuff about competitors, so I don't know what, if anything, will happen. Probably nothing.

Very possible. EA bundle "free content" with new games, so it's very possible that the character mentioned will be included in all editions or released as Day One DLC, like what happened with Dragon Age 2. BioWare/EA will not splash out on voice acting for a character only available to small number of players, so you can be certain that non-CE owners will get access to them at some point.

It would be nice if Bioware confirmed if it truly is GAME/Gamestation.co.uk exclusive. People all over Europe are waiting for preordering to open for Amazon.co.uk and Play.com etc.

For the 1000th time, what about us Dutch people?

I certainly don't have a credit card and I refuse to use PayPal to pre-order from English sites.

I pre-ordered off of EA/Origin the day you could start (N7 Edition) Found a glitch with their website pre-ordering the PC Version, and got complete !@#% customer service till i phoned in. 2 hours wasted, but at least the gentleman on the phone was nice enough to give me $20 off (which basically covered most of shipping and tax)
