Just received my Mass effect 1 collector's edition.
All three are going to look sweet on my games shrine.

Might be a little off topic but has anyone else's account been deleted since GAME changed their site? All my pre orders are gone! Luckily I can order the CE again somewhere else but still, imagine if this happened when it was no longer available! Can't even contact their customer support to get my account working again , just says "generic error" everytime I try.

The site is down again. Try once more when it comes up. There is a customer service e-mail on the front page, though, so give that a try if you can.

Have you still got your email with the initial preorder order number etc? Definitely email them with these details to find out what's going on. I know you've still got time to preorder (do this as well? I know I would  :innocent:) but obviously something has gone wrong somewhere. Just checked my GAME account and there haven't been any changes with my preorders since the website changes. Hope you get it sorted soon

GAME seems to have some serious issues right now. My account is gone too and from what I've found on Google, others have the same problem. Let's hope they'll get it fixed sooner or later.

MassEffect3 is the last in the series, but the Starwars MMO is a long term investment for BioWare.
People have to pay to buy it then pay a subscription to keep playing it so they need to entice LOTS of people to buy it. What better way than to offer up statues and other toys in a collector’s edition? 

When you think of it, it seems a bit redundant to offer such things on a game that is on the way out (massEffect).
Shame, but makes good business sense, and make no mistake, BioWare and EA are in business to make money.

But I can’t see them doing anything else with it honestly.
I mean, if they do what they did with DragonAge (ie another character's events set against the background or the original story) then they are onto a looser.

DA2 was ok, but DragonAge without DarkSpawn is just as bad as MassEffect with our Reapers orthe Normandy.

Think about it, I doubt they'll do an MMO, alongside StarWars.
An RTS might work quite well, but i truly think they will let the MassEffect universe live on as a fond memory in our hearts with, quite possibly, the death of Sheppard (!)

I disagree with you on why DA2 wasn't as good as Origins but I'll save that discussion for another thread.

One thing I could see them doing is having the game take place many years in the future where you can see/hear mentions of Shepard and his team but they all (minus probably Liara) have long since died or people have lost track of them.

I wouldn't mind some more mass effect universe goodies with an additional collector's-esque release.  As for the future of Mass Effect "4" and on... with so many rumors floating around who knows if anything is in place... maybe they're reading our feedback to help them figure out their plans, too.  Like what they did with DA2, the idea of a threat other than the darkspawn is kind of what I see as the potential for another mass effect after or even before Shepard's trilogy: I mean they do have an incredibly vast and diverse universe to explore, and it'd be interesting to learn how it would function without the (immediate) threat of extinction to all organic life.

And on that note: If you're saying that DA2 wasn't great simply because it didn't have darkspawn (sorry if I'm misunderstanding), that wasn't what was disappointing.  Though not actively present there was always the underlying threat of the darkspawn and the Archdemon, much like the Reapers were for the majority of Mass Effect before we really began to understand the enormity - the REALITY - of what they've done and plan to do again.  We did eventually have the big fight but Sovereign and Harbinger weren't explicitly present at all times and in every encounter.  And in that sense DA2 still had that kind of underlying threat, perhaps slowly introducing an even more frightening notion that if we aren't united against a common great evil, is the idea that one person could both prevent or instigate the same chaos and destruction...

I sent them an e mail today and yes thankfully I saved my preorder receipt just in case. Just have to wait on a reply , I hope it gets sorted to.

hmm well luckely for all of you ME3 only comes out in 6 months,... lotsa time for more details of what other extras will go in there,... plus ussually final details only come a monthe max 2 before release. have patience earth hasn't been invaded yet XD

though i would love a dlc of some skirmish with the reapers before they get to earth released like a month before me3 just to stir up things.

For me the worst of Mass Effect 2 was.... the collector's edition ... but it seems that the collector's edition of MASS EFFECT 3 is better! Although ... a good object would be a pin of the Alliance or once of the medal of Commander Shepard!

I'm wondering if the CE will be awailable in UK retailers? It wouldn't be a problem to pre-order from Gamestop, Amazon or Bioware itself but, shipment would cost dearly. So i'd like to pre-order it on a UK retailer but i'm getting suspicious  as if it won't be available.

Any official information or opinion on this?

From what i heard from the Cerberus Network on Xbox Live, There is going to be a final DLC for ME2 players to finish ME2 and start ME3
