I am also wondering about geo-codes built into the discs.  For instance, certain movies have codes that are setup so that they cannot be played overseas.  Do the same things happen ith games?

Xbox360 games usually have region coding, meaning US games can't be played in EU and vice versa (except the publisher wants it).
PS3 games are usually region free - though there are some small exceptions.
PC games are region free (language support can often be downloaded if needed).

Have GAME/Gamestation (since they're owned by the same parent company) actually got an exclusivity deal on the CE in the UK, or is there a chance some retailers that are actually competent will start selling it at some point? Some actual competition might get the price down to something less obscene.

Ah, I wasn't aware of the shared ownership. Now that puts things into a different perspective. If they have an exclusive contract with EA, we're f*cked, to express it in an unsophisticated way.

Still have my fingers crossed for Amazon, but the safety net is there with the Gamestation order placed 2 weeks ago. For now.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. With ME2 it was the same situation. Only game.co.uk and gamestation.co.uk had it.

I personally would also like to order it from amazon but where else can you get a Xbox360 CE with English language? So I ordered from game... will have to live off of noodles for some time now. Price it outrageous!

I was thinking i would make my first forum post a mass effect post since it is my favorite gameing franchise, so i was wondering if anyone knew if MAYBE a mass effect Xbox 360 could MAYBE be released, either way i am going to get whatever collector's or ultimate edition that is released. sorry for the long post.

There never was a Prothean character to begin with. It was a mistake and an old scrapped idea.

I'm just glad is not $149.99 like old republic. Nice box and a few extras..thats good enough for me. I dont need a 10 foot Tali statue to put in my garage for my cats to climb on.

Not with PC and even if, not with EA. With your game you get a CD-key, with that CD-key you can downlad the game from Origin in any avalible version. So it doesn't matter where you're buing it.
