Soooo many pages! Just did my pre-order then! So damn excited. But, the date on the receipt says the CE isn't released until 8th March!! What?! Can anyone confirm if there is a delay between the CE release date and the standard release date (in Australia)? Please say this is just some cruel misprint. It is even conflicted on the stores website!!

as far as i know its pc not xbox. no harm in researching up on it. although i have an xbox i only ever buy games i like on pc as i prefer the gameplay on pc.

sry release date is 9th march and it is confirmed to be that date, at least here in uk it is, but with the time differences i have no idea. id say its no misprint as all over the world the CE are coming out same day as standard edition. i mean every site i go to (about 7 or 8) it says 9th march and only 2 of them (same parent company) have the CE for preorder.

Thanks Soriah! The standard is most definitely being released here on the 6th here (that's what it says on all the sites and in catalogues etc). I'll just keep my fingers crossed that it's the same day for the CE. It doesn't really make sense that they would release it on separate days, I guess.

Edited becasue after looking at the EA website it seems to have a realse date of the 8th March. So now I'm just more confused. I know it's only two days, but it's two WHOLE days!

yeah that wud make me confused as well. Im not sure what the time difference is between here and there but i think the retail sites there might say the 6th cus thats the date they must have put ages ago now, the release date of 8th/9th march only started going up on retail sites here not too long ago, before it only said march 2012 as if they wasnt too sure of the date. as its EA's game then id say its the 8th there, the CE is only gonna be availabe at certian retailers tho so id get it preordered, here i only got 3 options for CE and about 15 for standard. seems EA only wants certian retailers to sell it plus the digital CE is exclusive to origin, steam isnt gonna get it by looks of it.

Get used to it, its common for games to release later outside North America. The US/Canada release date for ME3 is 6 March. Most other countries are 9 March, with Australia (and I think a couple of others) releasing on 8 March.(edit: With the difference in timezones we sort of get it on 7 March, compared to US, so it's only a day later if that makes you feel any better    )

I think most of the games I've gotten recently have either had this Tuesday/Thursday/Friday split or Tuesday/Friday for when they release.

I would like to know if the Collector's Edition will be available for pre-order in the U.K outside of GAME. I don't want to wait too long to pre-order but I usually shop at Amazon.co.uk since they usually give you a good deal. Do GAME have exclusivity to the Collector's Edition?

Any help on this would be appreciated, thanks!

Gamestation is the same company as game so it doesnt rly count as a company outside of Game. They do advertise it as £10 cheaper tho and it made me preorder off them but ive spoken to a m8 at game and they said the price will be the same from both companies at launch as far as they know. What i do know is that it unlikely amazon.co.uk will get it to sell or it wud be on the site already as the us and german amazon sites have it and if u go onto the EA site where it gives u a list of retailers for the Collectors edition Game and origin are the only 2 on UK's list yet other countries have more options. Not even play.com has the CE for preorder so my guess is that yes Game and any of its sister companies like Gamestation will be the only ones selling it.

I really hope Bioware will go the extra mile and give us PS3 buyers something to make up for the XBL Avatar stuff Xbox buyers will be getting; perhaps some unique avatars you can only get via the CE and a premium theme or something...

Just found out that the CE does contain an extra team member and mission after all, so I just preordered it! The manager told me that they would definatly have it on the 6th here in Denmark, but can't play until the 8th due to my sons birthday party...

Ugh, I can't think about the Collector's edition without thinking about giant insects and assuming direct control XD. The content for this looks great, though it looks like the demo won't start until mid to late January, and multiplayer maybe not until February. That or it'll just pop up without ceremony right after the Christmas break.
