Yes, it is going to be a long haul, isn't it? To 3/6/2012. I feel like somebody in one of those ancient Greek stories; walking up and down the beachfront, scanning the horizon waiting for my beloved's ship to return. Ha!
That said, I'm geeked. I must be, I joined a video game forum....
I don't care what "genre" ME3 is going to be classified in. Just keep up the good storytelling and the good combat. I devoured the first 2 ME games. Gobbled them right up.
Also, LotSB...I wanted to thank you guys BW/ME. I played that one with my 14 year old daughter. We had sooo much fun! At one point we threw down the controller and went running from the room laughing and screaming at the same time. With our hands up in the air. There was so much going on, and it was great fun.
I point this out because like I said, she's 14 and the sharing of belly laughs has become fewer and farther between. . She's too cool for Mommy these days..lol. I guess what I'm saying is that, I understand it's all about the game and the profits and business and that's cool. (I hope you make damn good money). But it's about more than that, too. You're making moments. Experiences. My daughter and I got to share a fun, awesome moment together because you guys made it a fun, awesome experience. Because you did a good job at what you do, you gifted me with the opportunity to have a good old belly laugh with my daughter.
And that's a big friggin' deal in my book.
It's also what Craftsmanship is. So many ppl are just churning out crap these days. In everything. Just to make money. And money's a beautiful thing. I'm not mad at money...lol. But I feel like when you create something, you're giving ppl a part of yourself. You should do it because you want to share something with others that's so awesome, you can't keep it to yourself. You want others to enjoy it as much as you do.
When you create something from that point in yourself, you're giving others a great gift. I know, "it's just a video game", but it's also an art form, and it's also the image of my daughter's face laughing.
Trust me, if it was lame, the 14 year old woulda taken off so fast it woulda given you whiplash

This question may be a tad bit premature... but I was wondering: Has BioWare said anything yet about how many DLC's Mass Effect 3 will have ? And how soon after the game is released, will it be before they are accessible ?
What with this being the last in the Commander Shepard Trilogy : How big a part of the overall story of ME3 will the Downloadable Content Missions play ?

Btw...
SPOILERS for those who havent played ME2
Have you noticed at the end of the Suicide Mission, when you defeat the Larva Reaper, the camera looks up at Shepard, and above in the ceiling, you can see...
Illusive Man! He's watching it all unfold from right above the room.
Yes, I did. That was the weirdest moment I ever had!!
Overall, after ME2 and the DLCs, I keep thinking of Vorlons and Shadows. Maybe it has something to do with the Prothean interest in the younger races. What did they do? What were their initial plans and did the invsaion of the Reapers impell them to meddle with the genetics of the younger races in the vain hope of disrupting the next cycle? Qs and more Qs. I'll find out next year. hehe.
ME2 is definitely more exciting than ME, albeit with some, well, stuff that didn't exactly gel with the first. I felt it's gotten a little sidetracked but still fun to play and intriguing, nevertheless.

I just watched all the " Fight For The Lost " Vids at BioWare's Mass Effect YouTube Channel and it occured to me that it could be seen as portions of Emily Wong's Interview with Commander Shepard and his Team...

Minor complaint here. If the SR2 has been taken apart, studied, put back together and thenstudied again for the hell of it; does that mean we get that infuriating pitch black lighting scheme again? If so perhaps a lightswitch or night-vision goggles? I realise the intent of the SR2 in Mass Effect 2 may have been to feel sterilised and medical but that didn't work for me.

i was reading up on what bioware was gonna do with the ME universe after this series and it got me thinking as to what i'd like to see. i'd like a game that is even bigger than this series. one where you pick your species (asari, krogan, turian, etc and maybe some new ones). then you pick your class, the ones we see now, and/or you pick what you want to do i the world, a pirate, military personal, justicar (asari only), scientist, etc. then you choose a ship, for speed, or power, or whatever, then you customize the ship. then you obviously choose your clothing and weapons. but you also choose your crew. throughout the game they give you say 20 possible crew members and based on your good/bad persuasion or simple choice a play style, you can pick 10 to be your official crew. like pick 1 pilot out of 2 or 3 options and just fill in the crew positions that way. and thats all i have for now haha. so what do you guys want to see post-Shepard campaign?

What is the final word on Mass Effect/2 saves? I have heard that "glitched" characters those that used the skill point glitch will not transfer to Mass Effect/3. Is this accurate?

I'm just getting in to the mass effect series so what I'm bout to day might already be in ME2 or is goin to be in ME3 but I was watching videos of ME2 from E3 2009 and they were showin how you could shoot their legs off and they crawl toward you and the first thing that came to my mind was there needs to b a way to stomp on their head. It its not in there it should be added in the ME3. They r already addin the melee sword thing so they should add that too

He was mentioned in ME2 though, when talking to Mordin.
Does anyone know anything about that little vision from ME1? You got the trinket from Sha'ira(The Consort), and it activated a little text box telling you about a vision you had. With all this new info on ME3 going around, does anyone know if that has its little moment in the new game?

Also, there was supposed to be a letter from him if he survived. Though it was cut for some reason...

does any one here think that maybe just maybe TIM has been indoctrinated by the reapers. I mean think about it why would he now want to kill Shepard, when Shepard is trying to save humanity and the whole galaxy from the reapers. Plus there was a whole lot of indoctrination talk in ME2. This is just an idea and not my opinion so don't chew me out.

^ thanks, mainly brought this up cause of that comment a few posts back were you can see TIM on the top of the screen right before you save/blow up the collector base.

I think that was proven to be a glitch that was never fixed, not an intended thing.

Yeah, if they wanted to use a hint of TIM's involvement with the Reapers in ME2, it would be much more subtle than what we saw in the Human Reaper fight.

what glitch are you talking about on leveling up? I don't think I ever knew of any glitch other than the one to get credits twice if you kept tapping a after the process was finished.

OMNI-TOOL is so Assassins Creed!
[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/devil.png[/smilie]
Mass Effect Team (Bioware) is not smart. He copies Altair's (or Ezio) lance from Assassins Creed into Mass Effect 3.
First: Commander Shepard is not completely human anymore.
This choice : Transform Shepart in a sort of cyborg in the second episode, makes me think: For what, then to choose the Earth for all environment in the third episode if Shepard is not a kosher representative?
That is the "moral of the history" to Bioware? She wants mischaracterize the sense of humanity?
Second: The omni-tool changed into a lance. That means body to body action; For Shepard include! Again: For what? We've zillions game titles and we dont need another one!
Mass Effect Team must think about some facts: ME game was successful because was bringing some differences as compared with other titles. I dont understand why they're doing the opposite now. Maybe focus is sell a product to anyone (just sell numbers)? In this case, the first episode was the last, too 'cause this trilogy are not a really trilogy.

2. You are actually in the wrong forum for any generic question of that nature, which belongs in the Off-Topic forum.
3. The answer is yes.
