BIOWARE games DO NOT need kinect or any fancy new ways to play games. We just want the great stories (excludes DA2) you guys were used to give us.. ):

Kinect is an option.  Use it or don't.  Simple.

So much stinkin' drama in this forum.  I for one am more excited than ever for this game.

I am more of a pratical guys and dont like useless thing taking development time away from other stuff that id actually care about.

But i can see the hilarity of imagining someone in their room saying  "Hoh yeah miranda, you like that. Naughty naughty girl." during a sex scene with kinect :o

I miss Two Steps from Hell music. That trailer was awesome. I prefer epic music for ME trailers and Ci-Fi music for the gameplay. We'll see =)

I don't use Kinect nor do I plan to and it sounds the same for you so for you and I, yeah, it's a waste of dev time and disk space but for those who have it and want to use it then good for them I say.  It's a capability that xbox360 has so it stands to reason that game developers would want to exploit it.

The voice recognition for the dialogue options is less than appealing to me, but I do like the idea of being able to vocally direct your team-members during combat. I wonder, will this feature be exclusively for Xbox users who have Kinect, or will it be available for all platforms through the use of headsets/mics? I really hope it's the latter, because I need a good reason to purchase a new pair of Turtle Beaches for myself... =)

I was actually there! Waited like 4 hours to get into the booth.

Got my ME2 game signed by Casey Hudson, Jesse Houston, Ray Muzyka, and a few others. The Bioware devs are really great people.

It was absolutely, positively, worth the wait. The game looks astonishingly awesome.

Heavy metal in a Mass Effect soundtrack?? Really?? I'm not normally one for hyperbole, but that right there is a damn catastrophe.

Please metal makes everything better.

I've been listening to metal for almost 20 years and it needs to stay the hell away from Mass Effect.

Why do I always agree with you?

But yeah, TW2 was not bettered with the inclusion of (thankfully a minor amount) metal pieces.

Personally, I thought the rock/metal pieces in the trailers for Witcher fit the general mood of the series, at least based on the novels.  It's a dark, gritty, violent world with an anti-hero protagonist and a storyline that's epic... but more in the sense that a eight minute prog rock song is than Lord of Rings, so to speak.

I don't think it fits for Mass Effect, however.

Metal can be just as inspiring and fitting to a piece as classical.  But, yes metal doesn't seem to fit ME.  It could have it had started that way, but it would have given ME a different feel.  If designed for it, it works well.

About the trailers in general.  In combat I hated the you can dive this way arrows.  They are really distracting and quite frankly look lame.

Kinect - Personally, the only reason I'd use the voice activation would be if I were in a body cast and couldn't use the controls. Then it would be a great idea and very helpful.

Other than that, I found it rather silly. You say something and then Shepard says something in the game voice. Other than that, for future games Kinect might be interesting, but I'm very glad I can use the controls.

Rest of the demos looked nice visually. I'm expecting to enjoy parts of the game and dislike other parts so just hoping the enjoyment (rpg aspects, story, npcs, biotics.....) outweighs the dislike (shooter). Looking forward to see how the story ends and how we get there.

I agree, also it makes you wonder why they felt you "needed" to have arrows telling you that in the first place and they pop up all over in the demo I saw. It's sort of reminds me of the constant 'guiding' you see in Modern Warfare 2 and annoyed the hell out of me. Gee thanks, I'm so stupid I can't figure out how to follow the guy leading me....

I wish they would of just used Clint Mansells work, like Death is the Road to Awe from The Fountain. That music just fits Mass Effect so perfectly and really would of flowed well with a more epic trailer...

Maybe they'll do something like that at PAX or the VGA's later this year.

So far impressions:

1)action game (elements from other genres)
2)some usefull moves
3)bloody ammo system - and illogical - what for fast rate if there is nothing to fire with(and faster rate is also wastefull, inaccurate + in ME1 was mod to fire through shields)
4)versions of abilities - partially was already present -if used to make it more rich and better suiting person for style of play ->good

Note:I like many genres,so if it is just Action or Action/RPG doesn't matter,it should just be correctly labeled.

CE preorder when clear no other better versions... :D

The game looks awesome already, and theres almost a year to go... Mass Effect 2 is the best RPG I've ever played, I'm sure Mass Effect 3 will be up there to get the title!

no complains so far ..i don't think i'll have important complains anyway since ME3 seems atm M1+ME2 in a good combination with something extra (even tho kinect seems useless i'm not complaining)...game looks epic

Seems this is the right place to ask: Is there a way to download the videos in 720p from the site? ME2 site had that, so is it possible to do it in this site?

Kinect features aren't a waste of development time since Kinect development will probably have its own seperate team, which may well include members who wouldn't have had jobs working on ME3 were it not for kinect support.

Seeing as how a bunch of games are using the Kinect, I'm wondering if they didn't get some sort of kick back to throw kinect functionality in.

I am personally upset about the Kinect thing... not because it's in the game, but because all my friends have a Kinect and like the features while I don't have one -v- if done right it could be really awesome!

Thank you for ME3 place it own and videos.

I'm not gonna post much here, because don't wanna know too many spoilers.

When you people gonna stop assuming that people have flash?
I have unistalled flash out of my browser by purpose.
Same as sometimes I have java-script disabled.

Is this what you want people to see, because that is Mass Effect 3 web-page?

So you're going to blame Bioware because you chose to neuter your computer?

Are there any other gameplay videos other than the one on Sur'Kesh (Mordin and the female krogan) or the one on Earth (post-trial invasion)?

I thought Casey said "Two demos down, two to go".

EDIT: Ah, found the one about the Reaper Base, now just to find the other one....

The Fall for Earth trailer starts out good but then becomes another one of those EA maketing abominations. Just like the marketing campaign for Dragon Age Origins, this is a big stylistic break that should not happen in a professional environment. Don't go down that path, or you will market this game to the wrong people, that wont like it.
