The Fall for Earth trailer starts out good but then becomes another one of those EA maketing abominations. Just like the marketing campaign for Dragon Age Origins, this is a big stylistic break that should not happen in a professional environment. Don't go down that path, or you will market this game to the wrong people, that wont like it.

So you belong to right people ? Your self entitleness is sickening.

When will we be able to download the videos in 720p or higher?

Before the "Earth" trailer was downloadable in 1080p but since it was removed from the Videos section of ME2 and put in the ME3 section it isn't downloadable anymore.

Graphics look awesome and since I have played 1+2 and have downloaded all relevant DLC it's a no brainer that I will probably be buying the final installment as well.

Since the game will be released in march next year I am assuming you guys have for a large part finished the game and are in polishing stage, but I do hope that:
- Kinect is optional ( I play on PC and hate Move/Wii/kinect stuff, I don't want to talk to my tv nor wave at it :P )
- More rpg elements and in depth gameplay and choices that really affect the world, because the choices from 1 to 2 were only noticeable in the margins ( Wrex on the throne or not, Asari girl who is controlled by the motherbug speaks to you).
With indepth gameplay and rpg elements I mean that I missed a lot of that or better said development regarding this to take an example:
a week ago I stumbled on a " little" game, developed in Poland which is called the witcher and it was really refreshing that for once in a very long time I actually saved before leaving an in, or actually paid attention to what an NPC was saying to me since it could be crucial to win or lose a battle, also the fact that you have to use either a silver or asteel blade a strong/quick or group attack, have to coat your weapon against certain enemies, swallow potions to get an advantage which might just save the day are really an eyeopener, with all games I have played before the first two levels I play are more of a tutorial to get to know how it's played and once you nail that down, it's basically a walk in the park , sure there is some reall hard stuff in which you die a couple of times, but it isn't because you need to figure out the mechanics of a level or a certain type of enemy , more because of the fact there are more enemies than bullets type situations.
-Better story;
Don't get me wrong I really like the outset, but I am missing a search and find kinda thing , in ME 1 you gradually found out about Reapers and as a twist you came in contact with the remnants of the Protheans, which gave the game a lot of gravity storywise, in ME 2 I had the feeling it was more about practising the "old trigger finger" .Again it was a great game but the story to me wasn't that compelling, you knew from the outset you needed to get back at the collectors and gradually it became apparent that they were enslaved protheans, no reall instant surprises which I like ( with instant surprises I mean when in Indiana Jones the last crusade to got the final resting place of the 3rd brother and find a 300 year old living knight at the end of the tunnel)
-Characters;
(As a 3D artist) I really like the design of the characters, the only thing I didn't like in the 2nd installment are the sheer number of them, I usually play with the same 2 characters ( Wrex/Grunt, garret), what I liked about the last level of ME 2 is the fact that you had to choose which character was suited for a certain assignment, but because this only happened in the end it felt forced and unnatural, if you had put this kinda gameplay forth throughout the entire game, you got to know the characters on a gameplay level as well, take Mordin for instance I thought he was a commando elite but the idiot got killed in the end because he couldn't hold his own in the final battle( yes I did all the sidequests for all characters in order for them to like me), there was another character that had the same problem so in the end I faced the endboss with 2 weaklings.
To get back to characters, either slim the number of them, or make them more divers( alien weaponry/stealth/alignment etc).Another thing could be that you have dynamic team up so that you play with certain characters in certain levels.
Another thing is alignment of NPC characters, to take an example, in WW2 the americans fought in a ( temporarily) alliance to defeat germany, they didn't have the same world view or morals, in ME ( and a lot of other games) you have to win characters over which I begin to find restricting and not very realistic, I personally find that you meet characters according to the choices you make in the game , if you choose evil you" meet a blue sun mercenary who is willing to help with the killing, if you choose good you will meet an alliance soldier ( and these guys don't give bonus or malus points if you make a different choice further in the game)again a matter of opinion .

I am looking forward to what you guys have made!!!

Here's a little fun thing that no-one has found so far, as it isn't really visible in the 720p trailer that has been released.

Can you spot the Husks climbing the Big Ben? :)

The Fall of Earth trailer gave me super-awesome dreams about playing an ME3 demo. I usually don't remember my dreams and I never played with Sheploo. It was just that awesome a trailer.

Seeing Action!Anderson gave me all kinds of goosebumps, too. I have such a 'hero-crush' on Anderson. Mr. "I'm Retired Now, Blah Blah Blah" kicking ass alongside Shepard made me squeal like a little girl again and then sigh in happiness. He's like the best mentor ever. Hell, this is probably the first series that's ever given me that feeling; a hero-worship student-mentor bond. I'll never forget my Shepard protesting that the Normandy was *his* ship.

And now he's going to be kicking ass right at my side! SQUEE! It makes me tremble with delight. I've never platonically adored a character this much before. If only he could be Shepard's father-in-law. Or adopt my Shep, since she's a Colonist. Man, I love Anderson.

Oh my God I hope he doesn't die heroically & tragically saving lives and stuff. :crying: I've been afraid of that for quite a while now. It happens a lot in stories. I don't want that. I want Anderson to continue being awesome until the day his liver gives out.

Heh, haven't seen a Wynne post in some time.

Do I have the heart to spoil it? It may diminish some of your excitement in one capacity, but build the hero image of Anderson further...hmm. ^_^

He doesn't die from what we know, but...(spoiler follows) it seems he decides to stay on Earth and lead the resistance against the Reapers. He sends Shepard out to bring back help. When Shepard expresses doubt that anyone will believe him, Anderson says to make it happen and then turns back to the fight. B)

Is Mordin voiced by a different actor? That didn't sound like the Mordin from ME2 :crying:

People think it might be a placeholder. I don't know about that myself, but we know that recording for some characters (specifically EDI) only began a few months ago. I suppose it's possible they haven't got all the actors scheduled for recording yet.

I hear there was a video that goes through weapons mods and character powers. Anyone know which one that is? I'm pretty sure I've see all the linked vids in the OP.

The right people beeing those who enjoy the actualy style of the game, the wrong people beeing those who think the game is something different because of the marketing. Just remember the ammount of confused people that thought Dragon Age:Origins was something like God of War and then stopped playing the game after a few hours, thus giving BioWare the feedback that says "make the game different", although the actual target audience enjoyed it the way it was.
I'm purely talking about target audience and confusing marketing here, nothing else.

Well, there are a few programs to download YouTube videos directly to your drive in HD. There's YouTube Downloader HD and JDownloader. I personally recommend JDownloader 'cause you can download almost anything there by just adding the link.

You can find the trailer in Bioware's YouTube channel.

Heavy metal in a Mass Effect soundtrack?? Really?? I'm not normally one for hyperbole, but that right there is a damn catastrophe.

I agree!! I really hope the game does not lose its electronic/symphonic style. Though they did change the composers didn't they? Now that is a shame

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but I guess I'll give it a try.  I was wanting to know if they dev's have any plans on releasing any high res wallpapers for Garrus, Ash, or Kaidan?
I'd really like for just one (more is nice too ) of Garrus by himself.  I know it's silly, but I love the artwork and screenshots that you guys put out.

Keep up the great work!!

"Fall of Earth" in terms of what the guy tells us is more like what we're talking about: "Shepard warned us they were coming. We didn't listen."

"Earth" trailer was particularly underwhelming in so far as I'm simply not interested by now in characters who still "don't know who they [the Reapers] are"

Still, how do we go from "don't know who they are" to "Shepard warned us they were coming"?

"Invasion" trailer... News footage from across the globe a-la 9-11.. errr.. o..k... any news about Mass Effect 3 please?

Kinect? Just what ME needed [/sarcasm]

Well, at least it would get people off their asses and moving...however, I'm MUCH more keen on this:  http://www.vuzix.com...20vrbundle.html

It has 6 degrees of motion detection - the VR1200 would be even better (widescreen format) but wont be available until August of this year.  Also capable of 3D.

Ugh.  If the music/soundtrack is heavy metal, I'll just be turning the music volume down to 0.

OK, from other vids on gameplay the music is the same as always, NOT heavy metal. Stand down.

Heavy metal is just used to provide the sense of atmosphere, not what the actual soundrack will be. Would you rather listen to this in a Mass Effect game then?

Hey, BioWare. Put that song in!

He knows WHO they are but doesn't know WHAT they are.... don't overanalyze. Too many shmucks on this forum do it already.

Who they are = the Reapers

What they are = sentient machines that have existed for millions of years. Big Ben Guy doesn't know what they are.
