I should have known something was up when Ms Domino was evasive in answering questions about the price of this litho. The last time there was a price hike in the 18x24's Jed attributed it to the new damage proof packaging. This time its clear Treehouse Brand is simply profiteering. Is a 66 percent increase compared to the ME2 18x24's original price point really necessary? This combined with the price for The Team litho is likely the last straw for me. Charging significantly more than the previous over-sized litho (Kirkwall Gate). For what reason? Foil lettering? Please.

Amusingly enough, the packaging they use currently isn't even damage proof. My last 2 orders were both damaged on the corners. So much for paying extra for that.

I think that calling it profiteering might be a bit extreme. The only "unethical" thing is that they are being so shady about it. Coming up with fake reasoning for the price hike, acting dodgy with answers, etc. They'd be better off just coming out and saying it's simple supply and demand...but instead they are trying to trick us about it.

They probably expected a bit of a backlash over this...but I guess they decided it was worth it. Seems maybe they were proven right, since so many people rushed out and spent the money. It's up to people to decide if they want it or not...I'm not really gonna argue the ethics of a price hike.

Is not? :? Maybe I should have checked that before ordering the Team litho. I'd hate to have spent a lot of money on something damaged :(

Well, I'm not ordering anything else until I have my litho and I can see how's the shipping

Well if you're talking about the full size team litho, they said that for it they would use a special packaging tube that was extremely sturdy. I believe this is only applicable to the full size team, and no one litho. So hopefully that will prevent damage.

I'm kind of just assuming the price increase was due to better shipping methods. I did read something about 'poly corners,' perhaps to take care of the corner bends problem?

I know all but one of the lithos I've ordered had clear "bunching" or "crinkling" in at least one corner. Most were perhaps only a few centimeters and won't show in a frame. Only one was about half an inch, and that was just one side. Frustrating, but not too bad, especially since more than one of the boxes has arrived with a serious dent in the cardboard, even so far as to pierce the outer box.

Tl;dr, I'm optimistic about the Team shipping, since Ms Domino did say she could stand on the tube they're using without it bending. Even if she's a tiny person, that's reassuring. :D

Have to jump in here since (as some of you might know) I'm a loyalist.

You asked for unsigned, standand-sized litho? You got Team in standand-size (18x24) and not in mini-mini.

You asked for sturdier shipping? You'll possibly get it, too. Maybe the Store listened to the customers that had good experiences with Valve Store's shipping of their large lithos (24x36). For those of you that don't know: came in a tube, tube inside an additional box. Kirkwall Gate simply came rolled up in a box.

There's also the poly-corners for flat-shipped lithos ... And considering the world-wide price increases ... Shipping material increased in price, too. Two years ago, I payed 30 (Euro) cents less for a shipping bag made for DVDs.

Yes, they're probably also testing the waters on prices where the demand will not increase any further. This is a business basic. I would wonder more if they didn't try. But there's nothing bad in showing that you are not pleased with the price.

(That said: the price increase also caught me off guard, too. But since I already came to terms with the fact that I have to pull some money out of my savings account for June - I could as well go through with it.)

I am retreating again to my precious burrow.

I've received 2 orders with the flat shipping method and both have arrived in perfect shape. I'm not too worried about it.

All my lithos have shipped flat, and all have slight damage on the corner. (except my minis) Nothing a frame couldn't cover and it really wasn't all that noticeable till I looked for it. I really thought my Cerberus litho came in perfect condition for awhile till I went to frame it and noticed the top corner a little bent. Doesn't bother me cause once in a frame you can't see it and mine will always be in a frame. Though I bought my friend a Kirkwall litho, he lives in England, and he said it got there in perfect condition so, I don't think current shipping methods were too bad. Poly corners sounds interesting, I would like to see how that affects the corner bend issues.(if people really think that is an issue)

Why is there still some left? Is it because of the $10 price increase?

Probably a number of factors: The price increase; the fact that it came so soon after The Team and people weren't looking for it; the fact that it came so soon after The Team and people have already blown their spending cash; the fact that there's already a Garrus litho.

It might even be because some people didn't think there was going to be a second release, some people can't read, and gave up after the first batch sold out then didn't bother to check the store after. Some people on facebook may just like to complain though, I don't put it past them.

Honestly, I can't believe that one of these lithos already sold for $250 on ebay considering they are not even sold out!

Question: The sale says one per customer, however it let me buy two. Will it let me actually have two or was that rule only for the first release?

They will reduce the order to one no matter how many you buy and you could lose the whole order altogether if you try.

They will most likely contact you and amend it, without risking your order. I would pm MS Domino about this.
