Have to jump in here since (as some of you might know) I'm a loyalist.
You asked for unsigned, standand-sized litho? You got Team in standand-size (18x24) and not in mini-mini.
You asked for sturdier shipping? You'll possibly get it, too. Maybe the Store listened to the customers that had good experiences with Valve Store's shipping of their large lithos (24x36). For those of you that don't know: came in a tube, tube inside an additional box. Kirkwall Gate simply came rolled up in a box.
There's also the poly-corners for flat-shipped lithos ... And considering the world-wide price increases ... Shipping material increased in price, too. Two years ago, I payed 30 (Euro) cents less for a shipping bag made for DVDs.
Yes, they're probably also testing the waters on prices where the demand will not increase any further. This is a business basic. I would wonder more if they didn't try. But there's nothing bad in showing that you are not pleased with the price.
(That said: the price increase also caught me off guard, too. But since I already came to terms with the fact that I have to pull some money out of my savings account for June - I could as well go through with it.)
I am retreating again to my precious burrow.
While I agree with you about the right for them to raise prices, if they're doing it under the guise of better packaging, they should just increase the shipping charges for these items. If they want to raise the price, fine, but the price is the price of the item, and the shipping is the cost of the packaging/shipping. I think all anyone wants is a little honesty about it, it would help re-establish some of the trust the store has lost lately.

my point is that you are most likely going to get a bad corner and thats just how it is. simply frame it and it won't matter. maybe its HA in your face to people trying to sell on ebay. worth alot less damaged.

I dunno, I feel a bit sad for them really. It's too easy to get stung and life's too short to be suspicious about everything.antique_nova wrote...

I think I got one of the last 5 despite never having heard about it and not having been to the site in a month. Time to go to Vegas.

Hey guys! I was lucky enough to grab one of these yesterday, but I was wondering, what is the best way to be notified that these lithos are coming out? I had no idea these even existed until yesterday, and I would love to be able to grab them ASAP, without having to check back every day/every couple days to make sure I haven't missed anything! Any help is appreciated!
Come to this forum at least once a day and you'll never miss a release.
You can also follow the store on Facebook and Twitter.

It's a guy thing? Sometimes people do things so silly, that laughter overrides guilt or sadness.
On the other hand, i just checked the page again to see if the item could be refunded and so that i could point him in the right direction and help him buy it for store price instead of ebay price - but then i saw the no return part.
That's when the laughter stopped.

Luckiest day ever? I've been on vacation and went to the Bioware Store for the first time in a month. There was a Garrus lithograph I'd never seen before listed for pre-sale. I bought one about 10 minutes ago.

I can confirm you got one of the last 2 of the 2nd batch; pre-duplicate/payment decline replenish.
Congrats!

I had saw that listed on ebay and hoped no one bought it. I think there were still at least 15-20 left in the store at the time. Its sad...
