If there were to be a prothean squad mate, I'd think it would be one of the 12 Ilos scientists who went to the Citadel. They supposedly all died, but what happened to the bodies? If an asari or turian or whoever found a bunch of prothean bodies on the citadel, that'd be a huge find. Unless the keepers cleaned them up...but if there were to be a living prothean, I'd think it'd be one of the scientists who found a way to keep himself alive with tech or something and is hiding or trapped somewhere in the Citadel core that no one has ever seen.

i still say there might be a prothean squad-mate/character appearance in ME3, since vigil (prothean VI from ME1) said that some of the top scientists traveled back to the citadel (but feared they starved to death, i forgot his exact words tho :/ )

Just with what I know of ME3 (not much) and the probable existance of a Prothean squaddie I think it's most likely that he/she/it would survive in stasis. And there is clearly something in there (it does appear to be bipedal and in the fetal position).

From what I know now it would most likely be the Prothean. Could it be somebody or something else in there? Sure. But from what little information I have now it seems to be the most likely suspect.

I don't think anybody can tell what's in that sphere by just looking at that image. Kinda reminds me of David in the Overlord DLC when you're battling him in the Virtual World. But if it's a Prothean.. Noooo! Liara better not have cheating eyes for it. It would be so.. cruel of her if she cheat on me for that Prothean.. IF it's a Prothean.

Please, it wouldnt' be cheating! It would be the ultimate chance to write a paper on the mating habits of Protheans! Can you imagine how many honarary doctorates she would get for that paper?

I can't say I'm surprised by a Prothean squadmate. There's the fact of the unknown fate of those Ilos scientists and the ending of LOTSB implying there's still more about the Protheans we haven't learned yet.

Wasn't Vigil's VI built upon a scan of a Prothean brain? Wouldn't it be cool if the Prothean who survived turns out to be the one it was based upon? Heck, he might call himself Vigil.
