Shepard is on speed in ME3. This has been confirmed.

Of course it isn't perfect, the game isn't polished. The only time an animation irked me was when Shepard dove forward to a new cover, but it was close by so he landed on his head then was suddenly back on his feet.

I'm staring at Shepard's animations for the Earth demo right now.

...I don't see it.

For the spike trailer they showed I did kind of feel like I was watching road runner in some scenes but I like the swiftness of the sprint they can keep that as is. I think he rolled then crouched behind cover way to fast and the whole side roll down the stairs move while neat was alittle unrealistic.

Though I watched Earth segment video and he seems just fine there though BW ALLOW US TO HOLSTER OUR GUSN WHEN WE WANT LIKE ME! I hate seeing the guns drawn 24/7 like ME2 had so annoying!!!!

The movements appear too jerky to me. I know it might seem palatable to others, but after seeing Shepard move like he's freaking hyper, I can't seem to ignore it. The reload animation especially bothers me, I don't like how now they try to show off how "quick" you can take out a thermal clip NOW, I find it absolutely horrendous at just how quick it is. I know Shepard is battle hardened, but damn man. Combat might be quicker, but not in the way it just seems like you've literally sped up the game itself in a "fast forward" sort of way.

With any luck, since this is just a teaser, the absurd amount of time until this game is released will leave room for refinement. I only hope they fix the other grievances I have right now. Like the lack of biotic punching. Stupid choices..

With exception of reloading animation, it looked good to me.

It would be a good thing if the reloading was faster..so how is that an issue?

It's not the function that bothers me, just the way it looks.  Seems a bit absurd.

The lore supports it. Shepard is more machine than human at this point, right?

I like this fast action paced style. If you guys don't like it then go play some pokemon.

It always bugged me that 3/4 of the reload animation in ME2 was Shepard pulling his hand back and aiming for the sink eject button. The current speed is fine, just needs more tweaking to look fluid, that's all.

Pretty much agreed.

What an excellent argument. Not.

I don't care how "fast" paced this game looks to him .  It's not even that speedy in gameplay, and probably won't even reach the definition of "face paced".  The only things that bother me are the animations that just seem unnecessarily speedy.  To the degree that it just seems unnatural nor smooth.  Even with Shepard's extra abilities as an explanation, I find it bothersome.

They were fast, but still had a sense of weight and heft to them.
Please don't listen to these people, it's fine as is. It's a video game with cross species space lesbians and sentient starships, I think you can suspend your disbelief. Find some other minor thing to nag about.

I agree, the animation are extremely fast (especially reload). One would think if they didn't want to waste time on reloads they'd have something like recharging weapons ... oh wait.

I don't care about the animations - but increasing the pace too much migh make using all powers too difficult without pausing. The Soldier is still a 'gimped' class when it comes to powers - using ARush won't be a problem - but classes like the Sentinel, Engineer and Adept rely on many powers (and quick cooldowns) and I would hate having to pause the game constantly to use them effectively.

In ME2 you can play without pausing and use all powers to their fullest effect = better imo.

Agreed. The animations with omniblade are too fast. I want to see the enemy fall to the ground. And it's difficult right now. But otherwise it looks awesome !

Agreed. Animations (moving from cover to cover, rolling, especially reloading) look too fast, doesn't seem natural. Would look a lot better if slowed down a little.

I think the animations look more forceful and powerful, so I disagree.
