BioWare's been known for the most obvious choices. So Vega is most likely a S/S LI.

This is a James Vega thread about James Vega. When E3 is done, we can start talking about LIs all we want. I really don't want this thread closed.

I am assuming 2 for m/m too, I don't know about Kaidan or not... seems like they'd also have to make Ashley a s/s choice if that were true.

Not sure why they would "have" to make her s/s LI if there was Liara already for FemShep, as important LI as Ash/Kaidan. For ManShep, there was no one.

TBH I was surprised Varric wasn't an LI in DA2...though that was before Anders was introduced.

A lot of people were still surprised that Varric wasn't after the LIs were announced.

Back to James.   Even if not a s/s LI I suspect a bromance.

Surprised that he wasn't a LI? He's a dwarf...who was like telling the entire story....Are you sure you weren't just hoping :P

BioWare's never been good at mystery. Look at the romances of ME2 and DA2....I'm willing to bet everything on Vega being a love interest.

Forget s/s -- the real important matter here is Vega's hair, and how we must get him to a stylist before the release of the game.

If I must introduce him to Captain Mom before she is inevitably blown up during this war, his hair needs to change ASAP.

Definitely agree on bromance. Also think Shep will have some sort of 'mentor' role for rookie Vega

I thought they'd be breaking new ground with Varric as the first LI dwarf. We've had humans and elves. Why not dwarfs? It'd be different and interesting. I mean, he was pretty good looking.

I remember for ME2, there was a long standing speculation on if Tali/Garrus were going to be LI. With the devs constantly teasing the fans. By the time the game came out, it was obvious but I know there was some doubt if they were. Needless to say my main Shep hooked up with Tali. ;)

The fashion police and I have had a falling out long time ago when I was born. It's been a quarrelsome relationship ever since.

Well your relationship seems to be mending If you are agreeing with me. At least on this subject.

Often I take great pains to draw distinctions between subjective issues - such as immersion - and objective problems - like for example gamebreaking bugs.

Clearly, Vega's hair belongs in the latter category. There is no way Jimmy's hair is "working as intended" and must be the result of some kind of flaw.

YES.

I can see it now:

"Fixes introduced by Patch 1.01
:

- James Vega was given a less preposterous hairstyle."

Of course, the purpose of the group ipgd linked is to force the devs to fix his hair immediately without making us wait for a patch.

It's working just fine; and who know's? Maybe if he gels it up a bit, it can be a deadly weapon that not even the widomaker can stand.

There must be an error in the coordinates of his hair's polygons that has caused them to jut into an unflattering brohawk. This is a critical bug that must be addressed.

Clearly he sharpens it and uses it for his Arishok-like charge attack.

This is almost as bad as FFVII's Tifa getting larger breasts due to a graphical error, except not nearly as fortunate. In fact, the complete opposite.

I hope this bug is fixed before the game release.

...it is a pretty bad looking hairstyle isn't it? Hopefully that's just because of the low res.
