I could be seeing things but I'm beginning to wonder about our sniper friend from the first trailer. After looking at the relatively small photo in the Collector's Edition package in comparison to his photo, I, personally, think that they look close enough alike to speculate. I could be dead wrong, of course, but I thought that I might point it out and see what others think.

We've heard, in Phaedon's blog/posts, that James Vega isn't the sniper--although he would have been my first guess since it's a new male character.

Is it simply Kaidan? The hair doesn't look quite right for him, personally, in comparison to the photo of him with Shepard and Liara.

For comparison, Kaidan:

Does our sniper play an important role at all? Is this even him? The hair certainly looks close enough to me, plus the armor does a little bit as well. What do others think?

Edit 1: formatting changes.

Edit 2: the collector's edition photo there is quite small. If someone could help me by posting better images (or simply not links of them, perhaps?), then that would be excellent.

Edit 3: the man in the Collector's Edition photo is confirmed as James Vega by Chris Priestly here:
social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/323/index/7551429&lf=8

He still kind of looks like the sniper from the trailer to me, although I suppose this thread can be locked and anyone wanting to comment can move on to that confirmed thread.

Died before it even started, this is why I don't start threads of my own. :crying:

I wonder how long it takes between the time a character shows up in a Bioware trailer and the time someone makes a thread about it on BSN. And then requests him/her/it for LI. Someone should time that some day.

I wonder if this kid would show up in ME3 and beyond?

04/01/2010 - Planet DC1938 Explodes After Core Fusion

“DC1938, a small garden world circling the red supergiant SM2183 Rua, exploded today in a rare phenomenon called core fusion. The planet's uranium core collapsed in on itself, igniting a thermonuclear explosion large enough to rupture the planet into several pieces. The shock wave and loss of atmosphere has reportedly killed more than five billion native inhabitants. There is one known survivor: an infant rocketed from the planet in an FTL escape pod picked up by the human cruiser MSV Kent. The inhabitants of the planet, previously unknown to the galaxy, were a spacefaring race who used crystalline matrices for their computing needs. The infant has been taken to medical facilities in the local cluster, where he is breathing gases in a ratio similar to the atmosphere of his home planet: 65% nitrogen, 20% oxygen, and 15% krypton.”

Edit: And I checked the original post date, but it's speculation! :wizard:

Obvious Superman reference lost to you?

Clark KENT aka. Superman, braething KRYPTONite which is his weakness on Earth as it puts him in his home world state, only survivor from his home planet KRYPTON which BLEW UP in a chained nuclear reaction in the planets core, after being sent away by his parents in an escape pod...

Oh and ever heard of DC COMICS? Guess when Superman was invented? Thats right 1938...

Oh and guess what computers was made off on his homeplanet... Thats rights, crystals...

I could go on... And I'm not even into DC comics, just watching the movies from time to time.
