Was that... ...Ashley?

The only time we've seen her is at the beggining, when Shepard isn't wearing heavy armour either. That outfit could just be what she wears in the Normandy. Wait a bit longer for more info before completely writing her off as a Miranda clone. And I prefer her hair down. Sorry.[/quote]
For the most part I agree with that statement.
Since all we've seen has been her picture at a random spot in the game as a image file, along with how she looks on the Normandy after Shepard's really SHORT TRIAL! I'm gonna go with, that's her non combatant uniform. Just a guess though, if anyone dislikes this, I'll be happy to prove to people that you don't wear your military armor to court.

Thing is, we have been over the bolded parts multiple times in this thread. We have no information on how Bioware will be handling multiple outfits outside of alternate appearances. Will they have multiple appearences in game? If so is it player choice or story? Will the alternate outfits just be alternate colors like in ME2?
Without this information we have to work with what we have. Even then, it is highly unlikely she will change her hair back to her normal bun do to technical reasons.

Nono those are accurate boots, the army also has all purpose combat shoes like these shown in this search which the heel is quite similar in some of these images
And those would also be fine because they all follow the same line. The ugg-like boot in one of the photos (the black one) comes close to what Ashley is wearing but that still looks to be more stable than what she has on. The top of her foot is angled too much to give me any idea that she is in any way stable on that lowered platform.
If I may, the boots that Selene (Kate Beckinsale's character) wears in Underworld are better than what I see pictured in that shot: http://www.imdb.com/...02624/tt0320691. They allow her to run, jump, etc. If Ashley's boots are like that then I have no issue with them, but they don't appear to be that way.

No matter how much she explored those feelings, Ashley would never compromise her marine heritage, especially not in combat.
Yep, but it might be that writers on BioWare don't think the the same.
How she looks is one thing and being able to customise armour of squad mates can solve what comes to her look.
I just hope whatever has happened to her personality, is it still basically the same or has time she been operating as spectre changed her or whatever is coming, is convincing.

Miranda had the same outfit on the Lazarus Station as on the Normandy, as going out on missions. Same as Jacob.
Same as every other companion you pick up. Aside from one unlockable outfit and the aap (which cost $) what you saw was pretty much what you got.
We've been given no reason to think ME 3 will be any different

Didn't they confirm casual and combat outfits.. so everyone has two sets not just Shepard.

Thats true, and you could be correct. But all I mean is that we shouldn't start complaining or making final judgements about Ashley's appearence until we see more of the game. If that turns out to be her full time armour, then feel free.iakus wrote...

I believe they said that everyone's armor was customizable. But that can mean anything. Shepard's N7 armor in ME2 was customizable, technically. But the last couple of Bioware games have shown an extreme aversion to allowing players to deviate from the Bioware-set "look" of companions.

Why not mention it now? If we bring it up now, maybe Bioware will note our concern and show more of the game. If now, then we have it out in the open to discuss. If we don't voice our concerns, then they arn't heard.

I choose to act now and risk being wrong than be right later when it's too late to change anything.

She believed in God. She was shown the angel of death and came out alive (possibly). Her dialogue in the second for whatever reason makes her state, "You're looking at the face of a God Delan." This could be for a number of reasons while either the two years destroyed her faith, she still believes, the Reapers destroyed her faith, or whatever. How she looks now is very different.
She restores her family's honor if she lives. She gets promoted. She gets top secret missions like Shepard did before the events of ME1 ever took place. Her personality can change even in the course of ME1, not just counting what happened in ME2. The ME2 cameos for both characters were a disgrace and essentially the same thing. At this point, think whatever you want until we get some really good hard evidence to the contrary.
For now, BioWare wants people to buy it's game. More importantly, EA bought BioWare and are not only gaming degenerates, but marketing geniuses. They sold people DA2 and not only sold it, but made certain that no one really criticized DA2. If anyone honestly did not see the obvious flaws on launch or before is deluded. This doesn't come down to personal preference, but factual flaws like unfinishable quests and misplaced scenes. For them to say that doesn't destroy the game for an RPG, which is where you assume or take on the role of a character in a game, should not be a professional reviewer.
As I said, let's wait until we get some hard evidence before we gripe. I agree that Ashley may have joined the Spectres, but she'd still wear her Alliance armor to let them know who she really trusts.

If they haven't got the point with all the threads about the impracticality of companion armour in the ME2 forum I doubt they care.

It's kind of hard to change a humanoid mobile geth construct's appearance.

People who know not a dang thing about the specifics of the game getting their complain on...
Typical.... Me, I think she looks great, yet I have not been analyzing every bit of her clothing in the BEGINNING sequence of the game.... Many months to see what the real deal is.
Calm down people.....

Well, not false. But Legion has an another " clothing " in M2.
Why not fix the hole in his body for example ?

If you didn't have a problem with those shoes, then you shouldn't have a problem with Ash's footwear.

no compare to

and

The actual arch of all these shoes is pretty similar, as is the depth and length of the heel.

I do however want Bioware to look over the various looks for the characters and ask themselves if the designs they have truly fit them or if they should do something else. Hopefully they'll change things up.
