Okay first of all I have no idea what that saying means. In case you haven't noticed a lot of people are saying Ash looks great and sexy and all that and I really don't see a problem with being sexy. Just because an adult woman is sexually attractive doesn't mean it's about the fantasies of pubescent boys. Grown ups like sexy things too and THAT'S OKAY.

I understood it...sort of. I'm not sure if the ass up part is supposed to be like your mooning (therefore, disrespecting them) or opening yourself up for someone to do some...things with it. :innocent:Badpie wrote...

I guess my point is that anytime anyone is sexually attractive in something a bunch of people say "they're doing it to attract teenage boys!" As if it's not okay for mature adults to be sexually attracted to someone who is sexually attractive and therefore it must be dismissed as ridiculous and silly.
I guess I just don't understand why people can't say "Hey Ash looks hot. That's cool." (This is not even taking into account the practicality of her armor - just the attitude that sexy is wrong).

Her armor looks like it can be upgraded with bits and pieces, which would be awesome. The only problem I see at the moment is the exposed cleavage. That totally goes against her character and makes no other sense than doing what Miranda was supposed to do for ME2: Generating teenage erections, and that is just really low.
I don't think you understand the definition of cleavage. Cleavage is the visible gap between a woman's breasts, and from what i've seen so far Ash just wears an open collar. I think what you mean is that her outfit shows off her chest a little too much. Which i can understand.

People don't mind Ashley looking sexy. But people get annoyed if she dresses like that for battle.
We don't need another Miranda. Please, no more dumb catsuits for ME3.

Not to mention, Ash's suit in the ME3 demos is much heavier anyway than Miranda's, and there's clearly armor on the shoulders, arms and legs of it as well as the chest part being thicker. The open collar is one thing but it looks like maybe it could be zipped up and buttoned at the top for extra protection. It just isn't.

"Much heavier than Miranda's" is really not a very good comparison, given I could see her navel in her loyalty outfit
Open collar by itself doesn't bother me, but I just know that it's not gonna get zipped up in toxic enviroments, And I see no place on her uniform for a helmet to socket into (not like the armor of the Ash in your avatar)
You may be a fan of the catsuit, but Ash is not ("outrun bullets" and all) Seeing Ashley in light armor is, frankly like seeing Sten in leather armor. Yeah he could wear it, but it's not very...Sten-like. And I couldn't see him being happy with the idea either.
Couldn't Ash at the very least look more heavily armored than Liara?

But it still looks lightweight compared to Shepard, Nihilus, Tela Vasir. Hell even Kaidan wears heavier armor now. And they were all spectres right?
I would love the outfit if it was just her casual clothes. But if it is her armor then I just can't help but roll my eyes a little.

My problem with it is it's only the women team members they are doing this to.
Ash does look good, and if she's helping Shepard go shopping for weapons I think it's a great outfit, and i want Kate Shepard to have an outfit that shows off her good looks. But when they are on a mission, fighting alongside each other I want all humans in armor that has a helmet and is the same type Kaidan and Shepard wear.
Again, i find it really irritating that it's only the female's who are getting the sex treatment. It makes me think in the back of my mind that Ash got her promotion because she looked hot, not because she is a capable woman who can take care of the job, while Kaidan didn't have to show of his very nice figure, to got the promotion.
If they give us more armor options I won't care as much, and it's a good thing it's just a video game because Ash could take the alliance and Shepard to court, if she survives for not giving her the same type armor as the new guy and Shepard.

For the last time, she's not wearing a catsuit. There is armor plating on her shoulders and legs as well as what looks like space dragon skin(Look it up) on her chest. Add advanced shields to this and you've got some pretty good armor.

I don't think Ash's outfit is really out of character for her given her current status and role as a Spectre. When she had one job which was to blast and bash as an Alliance grunt it made sense for the regimented look and the heavy armor. I'm thinking that's not her only job anymore.
Don't get me wrong, I'll be very happy and even prefer to have other options for her. I'd really like to see a return of her signature Phoenix gear even.

Excuse me? Hi my name is Jacob, I'm wearing almsot the exact same outfit as Ashley. See that? Skin tight fabric, with plating around the shoulders? Yeah, I'm wearing a "catsuit" just like Ash.
Some people may not like it, but the priiiize.

ok lets be perfectly frank here, people freaking out that her new tight light armor isnt practical needs to stop for a second.
her iconic default armor in ME1 was pheonix armor. she wore a bright white and pink suit. in combat. do you guys not realize how insanely dumb that is? it'd get you shot first everytime simply because your'e so damn easy to see.
so her wearing bright white and pink armor isnt bad, but her wearing a lighter suit is super wrong now?
she's a soldier she's supposed to know that wearing a bright white and pink suit is BAD for combat.

Because in the feature I would assume that in most frontline wars soldiers would be equiped to detect enemy soldiers. And normal camoflauge is not that useful anymore.
Beside I also have never been a huge fan of the phoenix armor's colour-scheme.

I won't argue that Phoenix armor was ugly. I'm behind you on that.
But it was clearly armor. It had a helmet and everything.
Personally I'll take ugly but functional looking armor over something that makes Ash look like she's riding a desk any day of the week.
And it still doesn't answer why Kaidan's armor is clearly heavier if it supposedly doesn't make any difference.

The thing is that a lot of the light and medium armor (Ash never wore light, btw) had visible plates that covered most of the body, there were no "open" parts of the suit, and it actually looked like it served a purpose in battle. Ash's armor in ME3 looks like it serves fashion more than it does as protection in combat, and I really have to question "why" that is.
Artistic license is important, and I respect the character artists for their work, but I also had great respect for Ash as a character and what she represented: a strong, independent military woman who didn't fall for all the bull**** of having to act like others expected her to, and who was practical and highly opinionated... plus, I loved how straightforward and blunt the character was. She was a woman who was more concerned about kicking ass and striving to be at the top of her game, not trying to look sexy...
The new look just feels like a betrayal of her militaristic familial background. I really hope it's not a case of her being all, "Oooh, I'm a Spectre now, I'm allowed to wear whatever I want because I'm soo independent!" That would just seem pathetic and low for her character imo.
