So, this is what our default Shepard is going to look like?

Image IPB

How can I take this guy seriously as a elite marine? He looks like a linebacker and a serial killer! If this is your idea of a savior of the universe, BioWare, then your game is in trouble!

Dude? They are showing cleavage. You see those lines there? The ones over the sternum? Thats called cleavage. Miranda shows it, Ashely shows it. They both do. To not show cleavage they would have to raise their suits some mate.

Show me cleavage? I see none. I know what cleavage is, I see it every day.

EDIT: If I could get the link to work, of course!

Edit: Ah just looked at your image. I admit she does not have cleavage, which makes it all the more confusing why she has so much empty space above her breasts.

Still Miranda more than makes up for her lack of cleavage in other areas as has been over multiple times.

I will maintain that Ashley has cleavage however, that collar goes to low, and her breasts are too high not to.

@Bluko: It just saddens me that after all this years and all the push for maturity and 'games are art' Bioware still heavily relies on stereotypes, putting Kaidan in heavy plate and Ashley in a Catsuit after giving her a breast enlargement.

Explain to me how she has a 'breast enlargement'

As do I mate, now quit acting childish. Miranda does indeed have cleavage. Or would you like to call it something else? I can call it the valley if you wish.

I will admit its not a large amount of cleavage like you would see at most fancy parties now a days, but its there.

I am acting childish by asking you to point out the cleavage that you said had it? There is no cleavage. None. I do not see the valley between her chest--which is the definition of cleavage-- the crest visible between breast. In that photo of Miranda, there is no visible crest.

Edit: Just saw your edit. I didn't see Ashley's crest either. There was a photo of her sitting beside Shepard that gave us a look at her front. I saw none.

Except that is what male Shepard more or less looks like. Heck you can even wear that armor in-game (Early variant of Phoenix Armor). Of course we didn't get the visor until ME2. Doesn't look that much different from default Shepard to me.

And Marines do usually shave their heads and have that serious "I'm-going-to-kill-you if you ****** me off look". Have you ever once seen a U.S. Marine smiling or laughing in the recruitment ads? No. Marines are suppose to be all about the serious business. (Also I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of Marines did play Football in Highschool, cause training is pretty excruciating and certainly doesn't allow for slouches.)

Well, she started taking pills of some sort and appears to have gone up a few cup sizes, so I guess one could call that a "breast enlargement." All she needs is a corresponding "brain reduction" and "desire for political correctness" and she'll be entirely unrecognizable.

Considering how characters in ME1 used stock body models, I'm not really opposed to BW changing the physiques of the characters if it differentiates them or makes them more unique.

So Mirandification makes one more unique?

You do realize that her body in ME1 is universal right?
So do FemShep, Liara, & Ashley and every other female NPC have the same EXACT breast size? If anything, Shepard's & Liara's got bigger in ME2.
So, who knows what her actual breast size was.

Breasts = Mirandification?  :huh:

I like that they're not using the stock female body for everyone.  Miranda and Jack and Femshep were all clearly different and that was refreshing.  So you're really gonna give them crap about remodeling a character so she looks slightly different in body shape?  They probably should have done it for ME2, but why waste the design effort and time if the character was only gonna be in the game 5 minutes?  I mean I could see if they suddenly gave all the women Isabela breasts, but they all look like normal, realistic female breasts to me.  And a lot of women in ME have the stock body model and still others have Tali's body model.  So they're going for variety here.  What's wrong with that?

I just double checked the magazine scan of Ashley and it looks like the zipper stops just above where the crest would be if she were wearing a normal bra. Were she wearing a push-up bra there would no doubt be some. It all depends on the blouse and undergarments on how much or how little cleavage you like to show. Ashley doesn’t look to be wearing any cleavage enhancing undergarments. So, I maintain she does not show it, leaving only one female (after Jack's cover-up) that shows any.

Just saying, you can't compare it to ME1.
Almost everyone was exactly the same from the neck down.

well, it was her own request:

"We're going to need bigger guns!"

I am just making a joke here. I have always loved Ashley, the way she was in ME1, but I also like her new look. Until we know more about the actual changes they made to her character, I refuse to discuss the matter seriously...

I think that all this could be solved by having all the characters come with two possible combat appearances. One that's perhaps a bit more risque and one that's more practical.

That way if people want a no-nonsense Ash they can have her. Or if people want a Kaidan that's in more form fitting armor, they can have that too.

I'd vote for that.  I'm hoping they will offer DLC armor.  While it would be nice if we got two of them to start with, I'd pay for it.
