People seem to forget Christina Norman is the Lead Gameplay Designer.

Yes, I assumed most of us knew. HOWEVER, her tweets will be read by other Bioware employees and the messege will spread that way.

Plus, she is the most communicative Bioware official on twitter, so...

Nohvar, dont try ever to take away a persons free will to express himself, if you want to suck to the devs then go ahead, just remember that not all share your point of view.

You're kidding me this is still going?

I am with Christina Norman on this one. If they change he look just because a few haters are upset then I am going to be pissed.

I love her new look, Ash was my first romance (like many others on here) and she's tied for first for me when it comes to favourite romance (not including the Horizon incident here =P).

Please Bioware have integrity and not give into the haters! Please keep it for the people who like her look but don't post! Please!

"I love Ashley's new look in ME3, gonna be upset if all of the ****ers and complainers persuade Bioware to change her look"

"We don't compromise artistic vision"

Why do so many think we have to have one or another but not both?

They won't because they are giving her an appearance pack in the CE, together with few other things.

I wholeheartedly support Ashley's look. Long hair down > hair in a bun imo, and if you can kick ass as well, that's even better. Ashley is starting to overtake Miranda on my favorite characters list, and I really dislike the VSs.

I'm not buying the CE. Also, we don't know what the CE outfit looks like. It could just be another catsuit.

Plus, the aternate "outfit" for the CE Liara is a simple recolor with - wait - A SHINY NEW HEADBAND! <_<

Sure because Ash couldn't possible change and grow as a person. I mean it's impossible for her to gain new skills and perspectives that might lead her to ditch heavy armor for something lighter, and more flexible.  [/sarcasm]

Hey, Kaidan wore light armor is ME - what was he wearing in ME2? Medium armor. What about ME3? Heavy armor. Why? Because its clearly superior to don a full suit of thick, protective armor than run around fighting enemies witha v-neck and spandex.

This is more gameplayish, but Sentinels became a lot more 'tanky' in ME2, so perhaps the heavier armor is to help facilitate more power for the Tech Armor in his case.

So they will give Ash a simple recolor with - wait - a few plates for her to wear! Image IPB

Will this be enough?

Then what is the explanation for Ashley's downgrade to light armor? From a gameplay perspective, soldiers were (and can still be considered) the original tank class - why is she, a soldier and tank class, running around the battlefield in spandex?

If your definition of a few plates means that she will look more like Kaidan than Liara (who even has ceramic plates in her armor) than yes, it will be enough.

I didn't find Soldier to be a tank in any way in ME2, just a walking weapons locker. Considering a pure gunner would need to duck around cover more frequently, one could hypothesize that her new armor allows for greater mobility and speed, which kind of works with how Adrenaline Rush works.

Honestly, though, I don't have a need to justify their appearance and choice of attire to myself, it's a video game meant for entertainment, not a documentary on practical application of military tactics and equipment, so as long as my characters look good to me, I'm happy.

^THIS!
For every 10 fans of ME (as hardcore as they can be) that did not like Ashley's new look, you'll find another 10 that loved it, and probably 20 that couldn't care less. Just please, do not assume to speak for everyone, that's all I ask.

I personally like it. But regardless, we have yet to see her in combat, armor customization - how it's going to be like, etc . So, I think has been blown way out of proportion. And even then - get over it. You can't please everyone.

I'm sick and tired of hearing people: "Oh, Bioware, if the game's not like this or that, if I don't have it my way, I'll never buy one of your games again, and I'll make petitions and stuff. And you suck, you suck, you suck...!"

Please, grow up. The world does not revolve around you. Go ahead, grow up to become a successful game developer and then you can make a game that's a 100% to your liking, and you can play it all by yourself.

Her armor looks just as thick as ME1 light armor, which were already bordering on spandex pajamas. The only thing holding them back from that point were the bland, low res textures which made them lack any physical detail. As for why she's wearing it as opposed to heavier armor? She's a Spectre, not a common frontlines grunt. Meh, I think people are overreacting.

I didn't see cleavage and high heels on light armor when I played ME1.

Most of us are not complaining against the practicality of light armor, but moreso the fact that Ashley, a character who claims that -

"Unless that speed lets them outrun bullets, I’m more inclined to stick with nice solid armor and a big gun."

Will be handled poorly in ME3. While I can's speak for everyone, I fell in love with Ashley specifically because she was a refreshing break from you typical videogame heroine like the busty Laura Croft, Beyonetta, Ivy, ect - a strong feminine lead who valued practicality more important than petty looks.

Basically, we want to be able to look at Ashley and not mistake her attire for Miranda 2.0. More importantly however, is the fact that we simply what Ashley's character to act like, well, the Ashley we know and love from ME1.

lol @ this. See page 66, and Ashley's new suit with the stockings and all and tell me it's anything like any armor in ME1.
