Her armor looks just as thick as ME1 light armor, which were already bordering on spandex pajamas. The only thing holding them back from that point were the bland, low res textures. As for why she's wearing it as opposed to heavier armor? She's a Spectre, not a common frontlines grunt. Meh, I think people are overreacting.

Most of us are not complaining against the practicality of light armor, but moreso the fact that Ashley, a character who claims that -

"Unless that speed lets them outrun bullets, I’m more inclined to stick with nice solid armor and a big gun."

Will be handled poorly in ME3. While I can's speak for everyone, I fell in love with Ashley specifically because she was a refreshing break from you typical videogame heroine like the busty Laura Croft, Beyonetta, Ivy, ect - a strong feminine lead who valued practicality more important than petty looks.

Basically, we want to be able to look at Ashley and not mistake her attire for Miranda 2.0. More importantly however, is the fact that we simply what Ashley's character to act like, well, the Ashley we know and love from ME1.

Armor doesn't make a personality, and frankly every character in the series has changed and developed. She can still be Ashley, without clinging to every real and imagined idiosyncracy attributed to her by adoring, imaginative fans over the last 4 years.

lol @ this. See page 66, and Ashley's new suit with the stockings and all and tell me it's anything like any armor in ME1.

I've read the thread and seen the pictures. It looks like light armor to me. Deal with it.

Actually, in some ways it even looks heavier than the old light armor, which was basically spandex. And Kaidan's new armor looks like sort of a middle ground between ME1 light and medium--but mostly light, except around the shoulders and forearms.

So did Shepard and Joker. She was always a little tan, but she was white.

Seen it. Don't see high heels or cleavage. Try again.

Yes, clearly her suit is open at the neck--is that what constitutes cleavage these days? God forbid a female isn't suited up to the chin.

To be fair, I claimed "may be handled poorly" and not "Bioware ruined her personality forever!" With that said, I do not support redesigning her look, but rather creating an additional, alternate outfit that pleases all fans, and one that is not a simple recolor (aka ME2 loyalty outfits).

Plus, having a die-hard soldier drop practical combat attire for a more "appealing" look is poor character development in my opinion.

They look more like combat shoes or training shoes than high heels, perhaps you don't really know what constitutes high heels.

I actualy thought about that alot back in the day, and i came to the conclusion that every human was mixed race in the first game, due to how far in the future the story was based. So WHY is Ash' so pale now?

My eyes are fine. You might want to try posting images that aren't scaled up to maximum blur. Having a suit unzipped below the chin and a blurry image of what seem to be reinforced heels on her boots do not make a convinving argument. But whatever. It's obvious you're starting with the premise and working backward to find anything that bolsters your opinion. I'm also pretty sure that by page 68 or so all of this has already been argued to death, and we're both merely repeating what has been said before.

How about we wait for more info or some screenshots before we start clawing at each other throats discussing about how armor reflects character's traits and personality?

No? Oh well, at least I tried...

Wow, Christina Norman really has a nerve calling Mirashley's appearance an "artistic vision"

All right, think of it this way. We just saw her at the invasion, just after Shepars trial. which means. And I think she was present at the trial. And you don't go to trials in heavy armor. You pick up your best suit, wash your hair etc. Maybe she didn't had the time, to change into combat armor.
Besides, I think that the ME armors are practical in low pressure, toxic, cold.... environments. Come on, did you see any soldiers nowadays in heavy thick shoulder pads, and chestplates? That was in the middle ages. As technology advanced, the need for armor decreased, because any ranged weapon pearced those. Nowadays it's just for practical reasons, not for protection. And what will there be in the future? Probably suits like Miranda's.
I'm okey if Ashley will use this "catsuit" in combat, but if the team goes into dangerous zones (lava planets, outer space...) than give them the proper Environmental suit.

And to everyone who'll say "but Shepard is in a bulky heavy armor, why is that, if it's unpractical?" I'll say because Shepards look in that armor is iconic by now, and if anyone would change his/her look, than that would be heresy :D
