Where is Miranda??

Said it before and I'm saying it again...been a very long-time Miranda supporter and I'm not worried at all. For one, Jesse Houston confirmed Kasumi and Zaeed to be back too, which is laughable but if they take the DLC characters seriously, why not Miranda?
And two, hardly anybody we know from ME1 or ME2 has been shown yet. We have only seen Ashley/Kaidan, Liara, Garrus, Legion, and Mordin (officially). Others that Jesse or Casey have said to be back officially, but haven't yet been officially shown, are Miranda, Tali, Zaeed, and Kasumi. Please guys, there's nothing yet to be worried about.
When Fall/Winter 2011 rolls along and we still haven't seen Miri, yeah, I'd be worried. But right now we've hardly seen anybody and it's safe to say we won't for a little while. And none of it means that we'll get screwed over. Romances are supposed to be big in ME3, and since I'm assuming those of us who are Miri fans romanced her in ME2, there shouldn't be much to worry about to begin with.

So I can't see her getting indoctrinated like the rest of Cerberus.
If Miranda joins the Alliance I can see Ashley giving her so much ****, yet more cat fights LOL.

She is in the game seeing as all characters "that mattered to you" are making a return. She's probably relevant to some plot elements that Bioware simply don't want to spoil.
My guess is she will help you confront the Illusive man and Cerberus at some point in the game. She's one of the few who know the location of the Illusive man and probably has a great deal of knowledge of Cerberus too.
Also, on the gameinformer hub, one of the articles was a Q & A with Mac Walters I believe. Someone asked:
"Where is the Illusive Man physically located during the course of Mass Effect 2? What’s going on with that colorful cosmic display outside his window?"
Mac Walters answered with:
"The colorful cosmic display is a clue to the location of the Illusive Man, which I can't reveal. Not yet."
To me, that sounds like there's a good chance we'll find out where that is and possibly go there at some point. And who better to tell us than Miranda?

We know that Miranda will be back in ME3, it's how she wil return that worries me.
A cameo or a temporary squadmate status is not enough for me, I want to have her at my Shepard's side during more than one or two missions.
I would like to have her back on the Normandy.

I'm more concerned about her being reduced to her romance. I love the character but despise the romance. So if she can only play a big role by being a LI, I shall be put out. Don't think it's likely though.
Highly doubt this...theres a lot more to Miranda than just the romance
If you mean the whole "LI can be your squadmate" then that's just speculation until it's confirmed/denied

Of course, it is a business and I'm sure BW has determined which are the least popular characters. Those will be cameos only to save on development costs.

I'm not worried about Miranda being left out of ME3. I'm more worried about her being left out as a squad mate. I don't want Miranda to receive the same treatment the V.S. and Liara got in ME2. I wasn't attached to those characters so it didn't bother me, but if I were a fan I'd be seriously bummed out. It's the final game in the trilogy, everyone deserves to be able to play with their favorite characters IMO. I don't care if the game is 30 gigs and comes on multiple DVDs.

Yes, I, too, liked that she rebuffed Shepard when he wanted to draw her out at the start of ME2. It was a main point of attraction for me. At last, someone who doesn't tell you how great you are the first chance she gets. I would've preferred if she'd kept more of that attitude in the romance - like love Shepard, but otherwise stay as confident of her abilities as before. She has the potential of being Shepard's equal, but that doesn't come across in the romance. I'd like to see that change in ME3.ilovemesometurian wrote...
I liked having a ****y woman who wanted nothing to do with you (unprofessionally) in the beginning. Miranda's character just showed you how much change can happen in a virtual game. She saw you as just another job Cerberus assigned her to, and by the end she either at least respected you, or was in love with you. It's that initial "I don't want you so don't even try" vibe she put off and her attractiveness that I admired and interested me. She's a strong woman and that puts off a lot of people, but by the end her love scenes were making me melt. You have to be pretty brave loving someone when you know the mission you're going on may never let you come back. That and I don't think she'll take over Cerberus. If anything I can see her being on the run for siding with Shepard, and she might get captured at the end =) talk about climax!
As for taking over Cerberus, when I brought up the "Illusive Woman" scenario it was meant as a speculation about what Miranda could do after the Reapers are defeated, namely, lead a Cerberus reformed along the lines of the salarian STG. I'd never, ever expect, even less want her to lead the Cerberus that's hunting Shepard in ME3-

Yes that too. I think that's what I also implied but I did not convey it as well as I should have. To elaborate, BioWare is sounding like choice have great consequences in ME3, all the way down to who's a squaddie or who isn't, who plays a major role and who doesn't.
There are a lot of people, ourselves included, that treated Miranda as a major part of our game and story in ME2. Based on that theory I can look forward to seeing how Miranda's role will play out in ME3. Those people who ignored her or neglected her may have a whole different situation with Miranda in their ME3 story. This, IMO, would be a good thing because it shows just how varied your choices can become. Miranda could either be someone close to our hearts who helps Shepard as best she can on the Normandy to help fight the Reapers, and find TIM; or she can be the person coordinating Cerberus strike teams that hunt Shepard.
All based on choice. And this is probably for the better since we will be able to see more of her character through different perspectives.

Exactly. I don't want any ex-Cerberus personal on the Normandy. I'm sorry, none of them can be trusted, even if you got their loyalty in ME2. I still don't trust any of them. Miranda tried too hard in my view to get Shepard to view Cerberus as a good thing. Ugh. NOKabanya101 wrote...
Who cares about Miranda.
They have already stated and showed Tali, Garrus, James Vega, and Liara in ME3. And Liara is all I need.
