Miranda? It's near Haven, but you'll have to pass through Reaver territory to get there.

Like i've said before confirming Miri as a full squadmate does nothing to spoil the storyline but the fact that they haven't yet makes people worried that its because she'll be a temp and imo if thats the case then bioware have screwed the pooch again.

Basically whether miranda plays a large temp squadmate role and whether its important (ala cerberus/Tim) won't make up for the fact that she didn't have a full squadmate role, a role that her preemincence in me2 deserves.

The tweets released today along with the info we know so far do nothing to suggest that anything at all has changed or that what we fear is true is not. We know every character thats important to us will be in me3 and that they all have a role and story arc. But as someone else pointed out so did the Vs in me2 and look how that worked.

The fact that they haven't confirmed Miranda yet is as much cause for pessimism as it is for optimism, the fact that the responses are basically political Bs that can be construed one way or another is exactly the method they went with in confirming the me2 crew.

I have a bad feeling not just Miranda but all the me2 crew is being sidelined and we'll be given storyline reasoning to justify it, we'll get some token temp squaddie role and then back to the story justification to explain why they can't come with us.

The biggest problem with this is me2 did the same and look at how bad the justified story reasons were in that, imo no storyline reason works for certain characters and Miranda certainly falls into that category.

Before anyone says "oh your just being negative" or "you don't know nothing yet so stop being so negative" i'll just say this.

Look at Ash's redesign, now close your eyes and think back to me2's release, remember what a lot of people said about Miranda and how she was so much better than Ash so we shouldn't be too annoyed at the fact that Ash was sidelined, well deja vu folks, it may be happening again.

Bioware have fooled us once, if they do it again then its shame on us.

I don't know if this was said but I thought I heard Miranda's voice in the gameplay footage.

Look at 2:45

That at least confirms that she's on the Normandy.

No.
That's EDI.
Miranda has an accent.

I care, she was the first woman my shep fell in love with, 2nd was ash. So at least have them two back. If you dont bioware I will come to your office and lodge a strongly worded complaint.

That sounded more strongly worded in my head. :D

I agree 100%. I need to be able to go and talk to her on the Normandy. <3

Miranda was damn hard to kill in the suicide mission, I can't imagine they won't bring her back.

Who cares about Miranda.

They have already stated and showed Tali, Garrus, James Vega, and Liara in ME3. And Liara is all I need.

Exactly.  I don't want any ex-Cerberus personal on the Normandy.  I'm sorry, none of them can be trusted, even if you got their loyalty in ME2.  I still don't trust any of them.  Miranda tried too hard in my view to get Shepard to view Cerberus as a good thing.  Ugh.  NO

but if you blow up collector base, she resigns, say good bye to TIM. I think if she will show off somewhere in ME 3, then she will be nothing to do with Cerberus. didn't you play ME 2? or just you don't know it yet?

Yes that too. I think that's what I also implied but I did not convey it as well as I should have. To elaborate, BioWare is sounding like choice have great consequences in ME3, all the way down to who's a squaddie or who isn't, who plays a major role and who doesn't.

There are a lot of people, ourselves included, that treated Miranda as a major part of our game and story in ME2. Based on that theory I can look forward to seeing how Miranda's role will play out in ME3. Those people who ignored her or neglected her may have a whole different situation with Miranda in their ME3 story. This, IMO, would be a good thing because it shows just how varied your choices can become. Miranda could either be someone close to our hearts who helps Shepard as best she can on the Normandy to help fight the Reapers, and find TIM; or she can be the person coordinating Cerberus strike teams that hunt Shepard.

All based on choice. And this is probably for the better since we will be able to see more of her character through different perspectives.

I'd like such a setup in principle. The problem is that could backfire depending on which choices are involved. If Miranda's continuing trust depends on you having done her loyalty mission in ME2, that basically means that Miranda makes main plot affecting choices depending on a personal matter, which could easily make her look less professional if not handled with subtlety. Even worse if it depends on the romance. If it depends on MIranda's resigning from Cerberus, then players like me are basically screwed.

If we get such a setup, I think making it depend on her LM may be the best way, but it's a knife's edge to walk for the writers.

Yeah there's got to be a reason why she was so hard to kill. Not that I tried but I've seen everyone else's ardous effort to do so in youtube videos and in the forums. She might have an important part in the third game as someone who helps you bring TIM down or to reform Cerberus for the better.

I doubt we will be hearing more after all the announcements from E3. They've released a lot of information for us to pine over for the next months. As far as Miranda news, I suppose all were going to get is a slight glimpse or maybe just even a hint of her in the next promotional videos and pictures.

I really do hope they release those character promotional videos just like the ones for ME2 where they individually introduced each character before the game's release.

I had her killed with my first Sentinel save. Took a loyal Kasumi and a disloyal Miri to the giant Terminator. Sam and Jacob were disloyal while they held the line. Amazingly, both Jacob and Miri died.

She needed to survive until the "hold the line" bit because she had dialogue to deliver.  After that she dies relatively easily

That's the ways thing work on the SM. Non-loyal team members die if you take them to the final boss. I have no idea what being killed by a falling metal beam or falling to death because Shepard can't catch you has to do with loyalty, bt this is how things go.

As for her plot armor, I think Bioware had only a vague idea, if any, of where to go with Miranda in ME3. They didn't know how people would respond to her, they didn't even know how they'd handle team members in ME3 most likely. But they wanted people to use her and like her, given by her very useful skill setup and the fact she got an additional "sympathy card" with her infertility (no matter how much I dislike the fact people thought she needed one). So there may be an additional reason above her being the main information giver on the SM for her plot armor, but any storyline aspect was probably not part of it before LotSB.

Oh I knew about the disloyal leading to certain death thing. I just wanted a 'doomed' play through with only 2 minor characters surviving to import into M3. :D

She will be performing this homage to vintage pop stars, possibly to the whole crew or as a personal show for Shepard.

For those who're not up to date with current information: It is known that Miranda will be in ME3.

Hard facts (as hard as things come anyway - everything is subject to change):
(1) Miranda will be in ME3
(2) There will be a final resolution to her romance
(3) She will have a story arc

Likely facts:
(1) She'll be in some sort of trouble (inferred from Casey Hudson's twittered "Hope she's ok though ;)")

Things we'd like to know:
(1) Will she be a possible team member for a significant part of the game (meaning more than one or two missions)? Complete unknown yet, but it might be revealed at some time before ME3's release.
(2) Will there be significant/enough interaction with her beyond the romance? Will she have enough screen time? This is unlikely to be revealed before ME3's release, since "enough" is so subjective and they're unlikely to spoil all Miranda scenes before release. But if (1) is answered with "yes", we can infer that (2) will likely also be. That's why we're all waiting for (1) to be answered with "yes"....
