If Jack as made it to ME3 we'll see Miranda as well. Hopefully with better hair not painted on .

The thing is, ME1's VSurvivor was crazy important to the plot and they got basically tossed to the wind in ME2 (I imagine partially as Bioware wanted to make sure they (as well as Liara) would be alive for ME, but it still was a bit sad). I wouldn't assume that Miranda's going to be a big part of the story or anything just because she was a big part in ME2: I mean, honestly, the two characters that carried from one to two, Garrus and Tali, were fan favorites, but had probably the lowest input on plot (Tali at least kicked everything off, but I don't think that really compares to Wrex's possible shootout over the fate of his people, and you can just totally skip taking Garrus along if that suits you).

...However, if they held to that philosophy for ME3, we'd have Thane and Moradith dancing around our ship (which, while I would be incredibly happy to see them both again, I have my doubts about), which seems unlikely.

I'm guessing we'll get one of Miranda and Jacob, and of the two, there are more hooks for Miranada. While I think her personality is actually closer to Ashley then Kaidan and Jacob's are, Kaidan and Jacob more easily fill the same role (they're the common sense reasonable one who is able to give you a pretty calm and sensible view on what thing is, and can stand in for a player) then Ash and Miranada do (with their wildly different philosophies). I'm not sure if that means she'll be a full squad member... actually, I'm starting to doubt it. But she could still have a huge presence in the game.

Or maybe they'll do a Verimine and you get either Jacob or Miranada, depending on your characters gender, so they can bicker over love interest Shep. Hm.

Wonder what was so important about her to have soooo much plot armor that I had to lose more than half my team to get rid of her?

Rawr?  All you have to do is side with Jack during the catfight (or just don't do Miranda's loyalty mission) and then take her with you to the final battle....

Well... I never get the catfight anymore... I don't even remember how to get it. lmao

and I'd rather have people other than JUST Miranda die off in the Suicide Mission to make it seem more like a, ya know, IMPOSSIBLE mission... like it was supposed to be. Everyone shouldn't make it out of that alive IMO.

Thank goodness for choices eh? :)

for the recore, I wanted Miranda gone so that I could see how they handle her not being alive... (my bet is on Jacob or someone named Wiranda taking her role. :P
She's not that bad of a character... though, I did like her a lot when I first met her and she shot Wilson... the cold **** was hot... lol

I think Miranda will be back in a big way. These are my reasons:

1. She has crazy amount of plot armour and you have actively try to get her killed.
2. She was basically the "shoe-in" for the ME2 team. She had powers for shields and armour plus giving the squad a bonus.
3. It can arguably be said she was the "main" love interest for ME2, trailers featured her and her love scene was the only unique one in setting.
5. She is with you the entire game and is critical to the story. Just like the VS was in ME1.

Why build all of that up if you are not going to use for the next game?

Excellent points.

I'll try and keep that as my mindset until we get some actual conformation of what role she'll play in ME3.

I have a feeling that Miranda will be a wild-card in ME3; meaning, if you romanced her, and thus went back to Ashley/Liara, it will have negative ramifications and she'll work against you (be indoctrinated). I think this will be the canon result if you romanced someone else.

But if you kept the relationship going, broke up with Ash/Liara (or never had a relationship going in the first place with them, it's possible), then she'll support you and did not get indoctrinated in the first place.

In most of my saves DEAD, but with a few where she is alive JUST to see what happens.
That said.
CH stated that he would NOT talk about Miranda because of some spoiler alert. It was also said that there is "some nasty Cerberus female boss" to fight; Miranda clones?

I guess some ppl did get to see her in the demo at one point
"To be honest we were so excited leaving the space capsule, that we sort of lost the run of ourselves. Having just seen a glimpse of Miranda on screen, thoughts turned to our own lonely fem Shep. "Please make Miranda do girl/girl in this one," we spluttered to Hudson, hoping to sound like light-hearted rogues not massive space pervs. "

I see the Tali geeks are out in full force in this her thread. When you got love for a scaly, stank creature like tali you dont got to give a damn about Miranda because your opinion automatically dont matter, real spit bwoy bwoy.

Right back at you.

And for the record, I am capable of liking other female characters, like Liara or Kasumi.

So you can take your Neanderthal bull**** and shove it back up the hole you took it out from.

Dude calm the hell down your in a thread yelling and cussing at other people over what pixels you should sleep with in a sci fi video game.....

Well Jacob seems to be out. Thane logically should be in failing health. Jack and Miranda are unaccounted for, but I begin to believe Garrus and Tali are our only returning ME2 LIs. Miranda's appeal is largely her sex appeal for a vast majority of casuals, I imagine, Ashley can fill that role. The best hope for Miranda is her Cerberus connection.

If Garrus and Tali get preferential treatment *again* I'm going to rant about it until the ME3 forums get closed and people are thoroughly sick of it.

This feeling of being treated unfairly almost makes me prefer Jack to Tali. And that's saying something.

Every freakin' fan has something to complain about. I'm sorry, but come one! Lots of people hate the VS, not gonna use them in ME3 anyway. Thane's dying. Even if he gets a perma-squaddie role he's going to die in ME3. Jacob fans takes the brunt of the bull with everyone saying he's boring and quoting the prize. I could go on and on about the crap each character takes.

Wait for the game.

Liking Jacob...Heavy risk but the PRIIIIIIIIIIZE... sorry couldn't resistImage IPB well every1 hates Jacob "M.C. Kanye West" Taylor cuz he is making mad creds sellin those music albums with DJ Harbinger also they are obv jealous of Commander Shep's and Jacob's captain hats....Image IPB

I am pretty sure this is what BW was planned for Miranda, after hearing someone not named Casey Hudson state that her role in ME3 will probably be determined by your actions in ME2.  I am only hoping that if this is the case she will be a permenant squaddie if she resigned from Cerberus at the end of the SM and was your LI.  Not knowing her status is really annoying....

its most likely going to be where if miranda survived me2 and was a li she will be part of the larger story like a variable squadmate depending on who you romanced

Casey Hudson said :
"We're focused on a smaller squad with deeper relationships and more interesting interplay in Mass Effect 3"

I
don't want deeper relationships only for characters like Garrus, Tali,
Liara, or Kaidan ... Miranda fans also deserve to have this in ME3.

Exactly,
I'm not asking that Miranda be treated differently then the other Love
Interests. I just want to have the same amount of interaction with
Miranda, as everyone else gets with their desired Love Interest.

When
i'm fighting against the reapers, i want her by my side. When i'm
considering possible allies, i want her opinion. When i've just finished
a mission, i want to be able to talk to her and find out how she is. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/heart.png[/smilie]

I agree.

All of the above.

I wish there was a way for us to tell Bioware our concerns :(

I think they are aware that many fans would like to have a confirmation that she will be a squadmate.
I fear we'll have to wait much longer to have a response. :?

I am getting the same vibe. I don't want spoilers... I just want a little confirmation that i'll have her on my Squad.

Mass Effect 3 won't have the same emotional impact without her on my team. I need to be able to visit her on the Normandy for a catch-up. I need to have her by my Shepards side as he tries to defeat the Reapers.

She will be in the game. The question is to what extend.

I have a crazy hunch it's going to be a Horizon 2.0

If that happened, i would be devastated. :crying:

I have thinked this. Now players here in general want to know who's old companions are in game as companions. New companion can be kept secrect, they don't matter as players don't really know them before. Now question is this spoiler? Not really as we allready know those old companions and to know if companion is companion, doesn't tell how it's story related. So, no real harm.

Does people get angry when they loved companion isn't anymore companion in ME3. You bet.

How ever, question is, is it better get mad now or after game is released. Because both ways they gonna get mad anyway. To lower the negative surprice to something what isn't really story spoiler, isn't bad thing. Also do you want people be mad now to some detail or let them get mad to all small surprices in games release day?

If I would be Bioware I would try to minimize damage done in games release day. That's my opinion.

Listen: I know that everyone is worried about their "favorites" (favorites being your LI) but unless he is named Jacob Taylor (like mine) you aren't allowed to complain about your fictional boyfriends/girlfriends being neglected.

I, too, hope for Mirandsa's full inclusion as a perm squadmate. We already have three likely male LIs (Garrus, Kaidan and presumably Vega), two female LIs (Tali and Ash) and one for both (Liara), not to mentionany bi Lis, so mathematically speaking, I would think that either Miranda or Jack would be a sure thing for ME3, but this is all speculation and hopefulness from yours truly.

I have a feeling Bioware knows what they'll get if Miranda or any other character gets a Horizon treatment. After all, some of the developers actually mingle and interact with us on the forums. What we can do now, is keep this thread up and alive :)
