Will there be a specific twist on how to defeat the reapers, or just brute force it?

Throughout the series it has been indicated that the reapers are immensely powerful, and cannot be stopped by conventional means. Especially since most of the tech adopted by the space faring spieces are taken from reaper tech.

Obviously Bioware wont reveal potential specifics on that now, but much of the preview coverage has focused on the fact that you have to "rally the races" so to speak, to defend... well, mainly earth.

I really hope that we will get a plot that isnt centric to earth, and avoid being like like dragon age origins which was simply about running around solving problems for every other race so that they will agree to join you during a "final stand", just like if earth was Denerim and the rest of the races were the races of dragon age. The structure and progression of DA:O was its weakest point in my opinion, with the main plot being a predictable, glorified fetch quest. Mass effect is a much better franchise, and i hope the third game wont limit itself that way.

I especially dont like the concept of just  winning by the means of fire power, which would be a extremely blunt and uninspired when held up to the fantastic universe they have created.

But hey, in bioware we trust:) Not the DA studio, but the edmonton guys:)

They really can't win either way. Using some Deus Ex superweapon will be received as "forced," and defeating the Reapers by outsmarting them in a series of battles or through guerilla warfare will be deemed "uninspired."

Doesnt have to be a super weapon, but there has to be a key to defeating them. Some kind of ace up the sleave, which part of the game should be about discovering/aquiring. I definately think that is the better way to go. Obviously, one cant work without the other, and massive battles just to survive will be just as essential.

While rallying the races of the galaxy will play a large part in defeating the Reapers (if we do) but it seems inevitable there will be twists and revelations that will play some significant part in the war effort. I trust Bioware enough not to paste Origin's overarching objective to Mass 3. The whole idea of utilising a superweapon seems a little too crude, a little too deus ex machina.

this is a WRPG

the children want to right click as much as they can on the head. Tactics and non linear approaches are too confuzing

It really has nothing to do with linearity. Story can still be linear in progression, like the other two, but the actual content of the story doesnt have to be like that.

There was one old JRPG where the entire game's enemies were all bosses, and the game consisted of you adventuring, trying to find out each boss' weakness and unique tactics. And it was wonderful

it was of course respected and very popular in japan. But here the kiddies simply want action, Bioware themselves stated they wanted the CoD audience, the cordial RPG has been replaced with the more modern "hip" action RPG, bosses won't be as unique as they used to be
