I know this is still early, but much of the music sounded copy and pasted from the earlier games. I know the end product is probably going to be different, but the only moment from the previews I noticed there was new music was the child in the duct, which sounded very familiar with Mansell's other work, Moon. Now I am a supporter of the guy, but I'm just hoping for more original stuff from him and not the same thing from the previous games.

What are your thoughts? Should he do all original or just remake the old stuff? Or maybe a balance?

There is no way they have finished recording...

And I perosnally hope that alot of his ME3 stuff sounds like The Fountain, as that type of music would def fit Mass Effect and esp Mass Effect 3's tone.

It was.  It was placeholder music.  Mansell's score is most likely not even finished yet.

They used a placeholder actor for Mordin too, I believe.

You can listen to a bit of the Mansell's music in the dialogue with the boy in the vents during the Earth demo.
