I also couldn't help but notice how utterly silent Liara and Garrus were throughout the entirety of the demos where they were your companions.

If this would be the case in the final release, I'd be more then upset, too.

However, in the footage we've seen so far Mark Meer delivered not only Shepards, but also Mordins voice. We are nine month away from release - I guess most voice actors haven't finished (or even started) their work. At least I certainly hope so. But for now I guess it's a bit early to become overly worried about this.

Why should bioware focus on showcasing the dialogue? Do you really wan't them to spoil stuff? remember when they spoiled the wrex showdown on virmire sequence?

they could pick a side quest. they don't have to do major dialogue moments

yea, I'm just being paranoid.

after DA2 and ME2 conversations we all are

Well I don't know what you are talking about their were tons of in depth chocies in those games. ME2 is my favorite game of all time and I like DA2.

However I was kinda worried by the fact that they only showed 2 chocies but I know it won't be that way when they finish making the game. So don't worry.

Still more than 9 months in development, I think I'm satisfied with what I saw.

Also just wanted to point out that in a normal conversation wheel, there are usually 7-9 options on the wheel. Investigate option alone had around 5 options in ME2. :P

It's e3, which means they have to showcase some of the most impressive stuff that they have, no way around it. the whole thing is basically a gigantic showcase to appeal to and impress as many people as possible, which means explosions unfortunatly.

They could have chosen a non-spoilery dialogue, though. Or just the beginning of sidequest.

Nassana Dantius: "My sister has been kidnapped by pirates!"
                    <-       ->Of course I'll rescue her
Investigate<-       ->Sure
                    <-        ->Gimme money and we'll talk

EDIT after seeing the above: Doesn't have to happen at E3 if they showcase dialogue. Simple enough to release a small clip online to reassure older fans. Not necessary for me personally, but it is very doable.

Right. They're going to go with less conversation in ME3. That makes sense. Especially because conversations were more abundant in ME2.

I'm sure they're not going to disappoint when it comes to conversations. Their game is based on conversations and stories.

As already stated it is a demo. Bioware probably wanted to keep some things under wraps and focus on gameplay.
