Hi All:  Just wondering if we can add our characters tattoos after the their origins stories?

I'm gonna assume that the appearance they have when you initially create them stays the same throughout the rest of the game.

Having the ability to change your character's appearance after the start of the game is a neat idea, though. Get a new tattoo for every really nasty darkspawn slain....

Or change your hair cut! Other facial features shouldn't be altered. Of course if they introduce magical plastic surgery in the game .......

growing yourself a beard (or shave it away) should be possible too. Women should be allowed to change their make-up color

additional, it would be cool to maybe automatically change the skin because you get older. Perhaps depending on exp amount or char lvl. Fable had some nice features regarding this. The Eat-much-and get-fat simulation was quite silly though, i never ate enough to look like a strong warrior...

Given that you could change appearance in Fallout 3 I'm hoping that something similar can be done in DA:O ... just give me a barber or tattoo parlor ...

I could see tatoo changes and haircuts as a neat feature, but the way beards work (preset jaw/chin structures) I don't think that's the option.  Really wish the beards could adapt to the face, would make them a lot more usable.

It has been said that once you finalize your appearance in the character creator, you cannot change it afterward. I don't understand why, it sounds like an easy thing to implement.

maybe in a patch later on but with all the things they have to bug fix now and even after the game comes out i can see why they would not implement this for a little while.:crying:

Why implement all that when you are just going to put a generic helmet on? It is such a waste of time.

I think they'll add some new stuff with the expanisons, as they did with NWN.

I was just asking because I wanted to change my City Elf face with tattoos after origins story. You notice in the video of the City Elf non of them have tattoos.  Maybe the devs will add this in a patch, dlc or expansion, I hope so :)

Since this game is about your character's development throughout the story I don't see why he (or she) shouldn't be able to shave his head and get tons of tattoos.

If it isn't implemented already - I say it isn't impossible they will implement it in the future.

If you add tattoos on your character, it will show up on the origin story regardless.

Why don't you just remove the tattoo now? The CC won't let you?

On another note, can the blood on the char be removed? Else everyone will be red all over by the end of the game.

I would say it automatically comes off after so long or maybe when you rest or something... sounds possible, i doubt blood is gonna stay on you infinitely. And yea, i mean, they should take in ideas from the fans here for later updates for the game. The growing beard of which can be shaved or trimmed, the growing hair that can be cut or shaved. And instead of getting older with level and experience, you get more masculin (spelling?) but not like freaking hulk or something, just the cool looking masculin (s?) and such. The tattoos, if they could change tattoos and stuff, that wouldnt be so realistic. I can understand adding/expanding tattoos, but not changing, im sure they had that kinda knowledge, where they could remove tattos, back then when we havent even had it that long. Lets keep the ideas realistic, thats what we look for in games, right?

before game play, we are all talking about after you start the game with your character.
