Is Anderson going to die in the opening of ME3??

1. Shepard runs far ahead of Anderson, and it's a cutscene. You have no choice. I don't know about the rest of you, but that running ahead while the older Anderson falls farther and farther behind is extremely uncharacteristic of Shepard the way I play. Cmdr. Frank Shepard would be laying covering fire for Anderson rather than outrunning him. And that's a pretty worried glance backwards that Shepard gives when he finally does look back.
2:James Vega, the new soldier that many assumed would be the next Jenkins, is the guy standing beside Ashley and laying down covering fire. Bet on it. We see a shot of him later in the game in another video, wielding a Widow sniper rifle. That's an Alliance symbol on the front of his helmet above the visor.

Actually Anderson is right behind Shepard not 3 feet from him.Thompson family wrote...
Frankly, Anderson's chances don't look good:

Maybe he stays at Earth and rallies the remnant of humanity.

I dunno one of Shepard's first squadmates always gets killed on the first mission. So in that sense it's not looking real good for the Admiral. Bioware has a rather bad habit: I mean there's Jenkins, Wilson, Gorion, Trask, Imoen (sort-of), and well Duncan.

If that were true, camcon2100, Shep wouldn't have had time to look behind him. That's only a couple of steps.
I hope Anderson lives, but the very fact they ended the vid before Anderson got on isn't a good sign, either.

You played the Suicide Mission, right?sheppard7 wrote...
Only thing though wasn't the SR-2 supposed to be a lot bigger thus not landing on planets in ME2? Yet the demo showed it flying right in there to rescue Shep and possibly Anderson too.
It might have been better suited to have the Hammerhead dropping in there to the rescue just from story standpoint even though it's not as recognizable as the Normandy.
Many times. And I winced every single time it happens there too after they made a production number about it earlier in the game. Basically they should have left that part out of the game entirely since they were going to break that rule all over the place.
Edit: And that mission was in a base mostly so they can explain away weaker gravity and the base had artificial gravity. But now Earth we know what gravity we have here.

It looks like we won't have canon fodder unless we have another squadmate between end of trial and start of E3 Earth Demo.

Well, Anderson is black and they have a huge tendency to get shot first in a variety of media. So he's got that "going" for him.
As I posted on page 1 of this thread: ME3 will be added to this list tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BlackDudeDiesFirst
From the movie Deep Blue Sea, Preacher played by LL Cool J: I'm done. Black guys never make it out of situations like this, not ever.
Although he lived, the original script had him die but the test audiences loved him so much that the ending was reshot for him to live.

When I found out that ME3 would open with the Reapers coming to Earth, the first thing I said to my husband was, "That's it. Anderson's toast."

Let's not forget Carver/Bethany and Wesley. You're right, it doesn't look too good for the captain. I just hope we can replace andersson with Udina. I'll laugh so hard if udina is killed...
If I get to sacrifice anyone to the reapers, it WILL be Udina. Been wanting to kill him ever since ME1. So if I get this chance in ME3, I WILL take it.
And then in the endgame, your LI or andersson is killed by reaperized udina.
Morale: If your enemy is in sight, don't hesitate to shoot him.

Though if it's done in the right way and if it would't be for nothing. i would be accept.
However if it's done purely for dramatic effect and sensationalism, then i would consider it cheap and useless and the Anderson i knew,(from ME1 and ME2) Never really died.
