Being killed.

I personally cannot wait for a chance to ignore that kid. Though it seems as though they might railroad you into checking it out...and the renegade option is still trying to tell him to get out of the vents. Blech.

Why would Renegade not help a child?
Unless being pretty stupid child.

Yeah, I can't wait to hear the full soundtrack. The music reminded me a lot of his work on Moon.

Yeah, the scene with the kid was Clint Mansell's score. Not the end of the demo when the Normandy comes. That's Normandy Reborn from ME2.

Hello guys? There was no new music. The demos had music from arrival and mass effect 1. On the Quarian Homeworld demo with the Spider reaper, we got the music tracks "Final Assault" from ME1. The Demo with the Korgan gal used Arrival music. When the Normandy lands in the Earth demo that is "Normandy Reborn" from ME2. There's no new music at all, except for that one scene with the kid.

Yeah and that is what we are discussing. Look at the thread title :wizard:

I'm wondering, will Mansell add his own orchestral touch to Galaxy Map music and how it will work out if yes. I always adored the Galaxy Map music, both ME1 and ME2 versions.

I thought it was a good factor for the emotions in the scene, but alone, I think it's okay at best.

Was the kid scene the only place to hear Mansell first work on ME3?

I'm going to cut someone if the Galaxy Map theme isn't at least qualitatively comparable to that one.

1st that's not Quarian homeworld. Legion tells you Geth make bases off world and True Geth control Rannoch. It's impossible to build that kind of base in few months even with Reaper tech.
2nd there is probably Clint's work in E3 Earth Demo when you talk to that kid.

As far as I could tell, yes.

Assuming it's Mansell. (I think)It's new, so I assume.

BioWare could always fall back to Hulick's unused Galaxy theme if Mansell can't come up with something good.

nice thread
Mansell is brilliant <3
I Think that ME 3 soundtrack would be something like Smoking Aces vs Moon

Not only that, the piece in the Mordin segment was so cool and immersive it got into my head. He totally nailed ME style of music. I have full faith in his work now.

Thats not Clint's work. Thats the soundtrack from Arrival.

Really? Never noticed that song in Arrival. Too bad then.

^There is no piano music but for Romance themes from both ME1 and 2.

And it didn't sound like any of them.

My money on Clint.

I guess the music alone was pretty good. The scene itself was cheesy and random as hell though.

Because the kid is right. You can't help him. He's a hell of a lot safer in the vents than running around with Shepard. Recall what happens to Shep immediately after this scene: blastwave from exploding ship and like 50 foot drop into some rubble. Yeah. Kid would be dead.

^That's argument after the fact and still. How would kid know that would happen? Besides, I don't think that kid is real.

I think Shepard imagine him.

*very sad, but oddly calm piano music starts to play*
"Everybody is dying" :'(
"Shh, it's okay"
*kid escapes*
Shepard sadface : (
It all feels strangely very personal. As if that kid were somehow special for Shepard.

They were under attack. The whole city was being slaughtered. There should've been the option to ignore the child, and the option to care should've been something more like: "NO TIME FOR TEARS!" *grabs the kid*.
Leave the tear jerking scenes for later, not in the middle of an adrenaline pumped genocide sequence.

Well Shepard wasn't able to save anyone during Reaper attack of Earth and that kid just showed up then.

Besides, I don't think that kid is even real.
How the hell Shepard noticed that kid in vent and not notice him leaving?

That is a interesting point. There were even speculations that Shepard was just hallucinating.

Wait, are you sure that it was his work? The rest of the demos had DLC music, placeholders.

Either that or the scene was just there to show that ME3 will be more emotional. We may not see it in the final game.

Don´t think I heard the soundtrack from the kid scene before in ME1/2. It also had a diffrent style to it.

That was a boring part
I'd like to see a puppy and to be able to help it:?
