All this is going to do is encourage PC players to pirate the game.

This needs to be stated over and over until people learn.

People who are going to pirate the game don't need encouragement to do it.  People who are not going to pirate the game don't need encouragement not to do it.  I also fail to see how this is a platform specific problem.

I love how PC players will use anything as a justification for their theft. How does DLC packaged IN THE GAME have any effect on a PC player. It may as well just be on the disc because new copy DLC protects against used sales. THERE ARE NO USED SALES ON PC. Ergo, DLC tokens are no reason for PC players to rage endlessly.

The way I see it, there are 2 reasons total why you might ever need to pirate a game:
1. It's such an old game that it's not in production anymore and cannot be found online.
2. There is no demo made available by the publishers and you'd like to get a taste before you buy.

Anything else is just a foolish attempt justification for an act that the perpetrator knows is wrong. "Oh, but it's a company, they don't need the extra money!!!" So what? You know what a company is made up of? People, and stealing from people is wrong.

So what these people are saying is that they expect to get for free what some people get in the CE. Um, no. If I am going to pay more money for a game, I expect to get something more then the average person that gets it.

I'm only buying CE because it is the last one in the Shepard story. And the art book.

Yep. There was a The Prothean day 1 DLC included line on the Collector's Edition ad but it was removed.

im glad it was removed that would have been stupid and not make any sense what so ever.

I think the DLC that is listed on the back of the Collector's Edition is what will be part of Project $10 and there will be four exclusive N7 weapons for the Collector's Edition. With ME2 Zaeed (plus his loyalty mission) and the Normandy crash site were both available on Day 1 and were both part of The Cerberus Network which was Project $10 material.

Now I could be wrong, for Dragon Age 2 had both Project $10 material and the Prince DLC which was given to the Signature Edition purchases, but available for download to everyone else.

I think it's more a case of BioWare not wanting that little tidbit to be publicly known, at least not until they can properly reveal it.

I am sad that the CE doesn't appear available in my country... and if it is, it will be through EBgames, which charges appalling prices compared to the online provider nzgameshop (with ozgameshop). I sure hope as March gets closer, Bioware can find a way to include nzgs in their promotions.... :(

True, I don't think having the Protheans return in some way or another would do the lore justice, either. Maybe if they were one of those Virtual Aliens CDN spoke of, but nothing else.

It was a typo, a new mission going deeper into the remains of a protean world, and the other was a new squad mate, it was bunched up and people interpreted it as a protean squad mate.
