No Legion stated that the Geth in general live in space leaving the Ranoch untouched. They perceive Ranoch like a sanctuary - place of worship - they cleaned all the war rubble and keep it unharmed but they do not dwell there. They live on the space stations all around the system.
At best they have their becons for security reasons.

Apart to that - ths planet looks like Koribban, too much of a wastland if you ask me to be actually Ranoch.
