Squad possibilities

I would guess they'll go 6+1+1 (adding the 2nd +1 later in a DLC).
So, assuming there's 6 squadmates out-of-the-box, who are they?
Confirmed: Tali, Garrus, Vega, Ash/Kaiden... (but Tali and Garrus could be dead from ME2)
Confirmed (but might be temporary): Liara
We know all former squadies will at least make an appearence if they survived ME2.
It looks like Legion might be a sqaudie or he may be Normandy-bound like Joker.
So, the only 2 definate permanent squadies we have are Vega and Ash/Kaiden (since all others except Liara could be dead).
Am I right in my thinking here?
Thoughts or speculation on squadmates anyone?

i figure there has to be 6 absolutely for sure squadmates, and the other 4 or so would be like, bonus squadmates, per say. As for those for sure, we have Ashley or Kaidan, Vega, and (as much as i despise the decision to make her permanent) liara. So my guess is there will be 3 more brand new characters to fill that void.
As for any other characters, i originally thought there would be 4 ME2 characters that could be recruited who may or may not be alive. Tali and Garrus, and 2 others. (my best guesses would be jack... and then either grunt or miranda) But now with this prothean dlc character the question is wether or not it is a fullly voiced/interactable character or if its like the kasumi/zaeed situation.
whatever, just some thoughts ive had. My first post btw haha

We already have an Adept, Liara, and a soldier, Vega, but since Ashley can be a soldier as well we will need a new Sentinel, Vanguard, Inflitrator and Engineer. That's 5 new characters and Liara plus Ashley/Kaidan and Garrus/Tali if they are alive, so 9.
But then that seems like too many... and we don't know just how "permanant" these perma squaddies are. The Dev's have said that the system in this game is different from the previous games.
The term "Optional Squadmates" was also thrown around a bit, so I'm not sure what's happeninjg in that department. And I bet there will be a whole ton of temporary's.
It's hard to tell what they are going to do, until they give us more information. New information on Squadmates is long due as well, in my opinion.

They should show us other squadmates too. I'm a little sick of seeing just Garrus and Liara all the time.

Uh, didn't Casey say that no-one is permanent?

Just that a few last longer than others... which really makes them seem all that less important and more like a toy.Ghost Lightning wrote...

Oh, that's okay then. But I thought it was like what Greed ^ is saying. If you're right then I can buy it, but if it's like:
"Tali - Oh Shepard, I have to go to the flotilla and do stuff, you can handle the reapers without me right?
Shep - uh...."
Then that's not so cool

Its BSN, people will blame anyone for anythingSomeone With Mass wrote...
Can't really blame someone for wanting to go and check if their race is doing fine or not, though.

or maybe because the have a whole army and it makes no sense for a key member to go and do something useless than be in the dead center of the battle with shep like before...thatguy212 wrote...

Like Garrus. His family is on Pavalen. Which got smashed by the Reapers.

I'm completely fine with some of them leaving to look after their families and such. I'm not the one to stop them.

Well we haven't seen it yet, but I'm assuming it's somewhat close to the Citadel and is near Tuchanka and Sur'Kesh.

Somewhere within Citadel space, I'd guess.
Perhaps somewhere between Earth and the Citadel.
