Not a hate thread. I have purchased Kinect today due to all the Kinect reveals and news from E3 earlier today.

We know that ME3 supports voice recognition for giving commands and speaking dialogue, but what else has been "Kinected"?

Can we use our hands to guide our way through an improved Galaxy Map?

Is there some visual menu to go through our weapons and armor?

Can biotics be thrown by hand?

Start guessing and wishing, folks.

I'd be interested if it went that far but they seemed to talk up the voice recognition and that was about it. Of course if the other tech wasn't ready for prime time I doubt they'd show it or talk about it. Some of the larger movements sound cool until I consider the uncoordinated smashing into a wall :(

New Kinect Ability.

Taking Catsuit off Grunt's manly body as he awaits to unleash his thorny rod.

Hey, the game is faaaaaaaar away. Things have time to develop, take form, and be executed.

Punching annoying people mid-sentence would be nice.

Ooh, yes. It'd be hard to implement(due to the myriad of situations available) but yeah.

Kinect Interrupts. Knocking someone out by throwing a punch or a physically produced stab to the back would be pretty cool.

Friend came up with an idea that I'm not too sure about.

Using Kinect to hack things.

The minigames are ripe for Kinectisms. The problem is that you cannot make the Kinect mandatory.

Its a GOOD thing that Kinect isn't mandatory.

And if Kinect can be used to hack things in-game, I hope there's not a ton of hacking being done in succession.

It will just be Voice Recognition, as far as I know.

That's my assumption. Good thing to since my hands won't get tired and thankfully I'm NEVER in parties while playing single player games.

I wasn't making a value judgement.  I meant this is a problem for a designer as you are designing for two very different input modalities.

So, you want optional Kinect capabilities limited because.....you don't like it?

Even though its completely optional and with or without Kinect you have the choice NOT to use any of it?

It's very pity there is no Kinect for PC... Even this voice recognizion made me want to have such Kinect for PC. D:
Pity we, PC players won't be able to use it... It was great, IMO.
And what made my jaw drop it was the Ghost Recon:Future Soldier Kinect show, how the guy customized and shot and everything... Just very pity it isn't for PCs too.

Yeah, the modding of guns shown in Ghost Recon Future Soldier looked friggen sweet. To see that in other games like Mass Effect would be killer.

But man, I REALLY want Kinect functionality on the Galaxy Map.
